Dishonest Sales Practices and Concealed Damage - I was ready to purchase a used Lexus GX460 from Westside Lexus — until I took it to an independent Lexus-certified mechanic. They found: A timing chain ready to purchase a used Lexus GX460 from Westside Lexus — until I took it to an independent Lexus-certified mechanic. They found: A timing chain cover leak ($3,500 repair) An improperly replaced windshield causing water leaks Electronic damage from water intrusion (display delayed in starting) The salesperson had the vehicle already running when I arrived (likely to hide startup issues) and discouraged me from getting an independent inspection, offering instead to send it to “their” shop. If I hadn’t insisted on using my own, I never would have known about these major problems. As a Lexus dealership, either they failed to inspect their own inventory, or they knowingly tried to sell a car with thousands of dollars in hidden defects. Either way, I will never return and strongly recommend other buyers get independent inspections before trusting this dealership. More
