I've used White Bear Subaru for as my service center for several years, and have been pleased enough with their service to return. I recently brought my Outback in for a scheduled oil change, wheel rotatio several years, and have been pleased enough with their service to return. I recently brought my Outback in for a scheduled oil change, wheel rotation, and battery replacement. Our Outback is several years old and the original battery had worn out. I arrived at my scheduled time and had told the I would be waiting for the car. I was initially given a one hour time estimate, which seemed reasonable. The waiting area was fine and clean. After a few minutes, my service advisor walked over and recommended they replace the rear brake pads because they were near the end of their service life, which I approved, and I was told it wouldn't add much extra time because the car was already on the lift to get the wheels rotated. It ended up taking more than two hours for the work to be completed, and I didn't receive an update even though I was in the waiting area and they'd previously walked over to talk to me--this wasn't the end of the world because I had expected to be waiting for a while anyway, but it would have been nice to get an interim update on the progress. Upon departure, I discovered the automatic windows weren't working properly--apparently they need to be reset after the battery has been disconnected. I returned, and the service advisor was eventually able to complete the reset process and restore normal operations. He ended up spraying silicone spray on the window guide tracks, I think as a positive gesture to make up for the service person overlooking the computer reset, but ended up getting silicone spray on the inside of the doors which I had to clean off later. The service advisor was polite about the event, however, it seems like resetting the computer is something that should have been part of a checklist while they were replacing the battery because it is required every time, so I'm left with a sense of wondering what else may not have been correctly/fully completed. I'm planning to try a different Subaru dealer for my next service. More
Enjoyed working with John as he was very knowledgeable and not pushy. We have bought many cars over the years and John was one of the top salesmen we've worked with.
