We were told we needed to immediately set up a 'diagnostic' appointment after we were told there was a suspicion of an oil leak during a routine maintenance. We did so - involving taking unpaid ti 'diagnostic' appointment after we were told there was a suspicion of an oil leak during a routine maintenance. We did so - involving taking unpaid time off of work - only to arrive and be told that we, in fact, do not need to take any action and should just 'be on the look out for leaks.' This was an enormous waste of our time (and money) and added a layer of uncertainty to what was otherwise a lovely trip we were planning to take involving a long drive. Not a fun thing to worry about while you're on vacation. I don't believe any one person was necessarily 'at fault' here - but seems more like a procedural issue that might need to be addressed. If one set of techs think something is an issue (clearly subjective) - its a pretty frustrating thing as a customer to go to these lengths only to be told by another set of techs not to worry about it. More
