Parts Counter Incompetence Sent my wife in today (8/11) to pick up 2 quarts of HONDA TRANSMISSION oil around noon. She knew that it was transmission oil that I needed, and she Sent my wife in today (8/11) to pick up 2 quarts of HONDA TRANSMISSION oil around noon. She knew that it was transmission oil that I needed, and she stated that she specifically asked three (3) times for transmission oil. What the parts counter sold her and told her would be okay to use was 2 quarts of TOYOTA MOTOR OIL (0W20 weight). MOTOR OIL??? in an automatic Honda transmission? I've done a lot of work on my own cars for over 46 years and never once have I ever heard of successful use of motor oil in an automatic transmission, at least not for long! Two specific types of oil for two very different applications! I shudder to think of the consequences and repair costs that would have resulted had I used the motor oil in my transmission. Within two hours, I personally was back to return the motor oil and get my money back. It's interesting that they tried to let me have four (4) quarts of TRANSMISSION oil in return. Now, I have to ask, why the xxxx couldn't they have provided my wife with the same transmission oil when she specifically asked for it??? I got my money back from a very humble and I'm sure embarrassed parts counter associate. I didn't hesitate to express my displeasure to him I have to admit. The potential for a ruined transmission, had I just assumed that what they sold her was the correct fluid and not known the difference, is mind boggling. Of course, it would have been my fault and the dealer would have had deniability, since it was I who would have put the oil in the transmission. Hopefully the parts counter doesn't make a practice out of dispensing the incorrect product to unwitting customers. Of course, if they do, it would most assuredly help your future service business for those who wouldn't know what went wrong with their car, and would then have to take it to the dealer to find out why their car wouldn't run and needed expensive repairs!! If this review sounds negative, it is by design. I don't care for incompetence and have found that it usually comes from lack of training. Please, in the future, take into consideration that customers have a reason for asking for specific types and brands of product, and give some credit to them for knowing what they are talking about. I feel that, for whatever reason, someone believed that she didn't know what she was asking for and substituted what they thought she needed. I don't like saying it, but, any confidence in your dealership was instantly reduced to a low level due to today's very simple but improper action on your part. Never forget that you are a service oriented business and bad service, whether it be sales, parts, or repair oriented, will erode any hope you may have of future success. More

Each time I have set up an appointment for my scheduled service I ask what service is to be performed and what the cost will be. Each time I get a response that they don't really know for sure. Sometimes they inform me of what they "think" the services might be. It would be helpful to know this ahead of my appointment so I know what to expect. I was called by the service department about 2 hours after bringing my van in for my appointment and told that I needed new tires so they would be doing an oil change only and not a tire rotation. They informed me that they would attach quotes for me to look at to see if I wanted them to replace the tires. I never received any quotes. Also, I mentioned that I had seen prior commercials for their dealership that clearly said ALL service appointments include a free car wash. I have been going to Allan Nott for almost 8 years and have NEVER been offered this. After inquiring, an employee did inform me of how to utilize the self car wash. Overall, I enjoy Allan Nott Toyota sales and service, but there is definitely room for improvement. More

Recovered MDX asked about brakes told OK next days xx engine lite still on, tire not fixed still leaking, brakes went out and had to get them repaired in Columbus, Ohio was not told about severity of brakes not showed repair order that stated brakes bad until after brakes went out and repaired. I was lied to many times and never told about brakes or never seen repair order until after I got brakes fixed More

Long time waiting & two 30 mile trips Brought 4Runner in for 45000 mile service and found yo need front and rear brakes... Only they did not have the front brakes! Had to come back next day for front brakes which were supposed to arrive at 07:30, after about 15 minutes I was told that the brakes hadn't arrived yet ( I arrived around 12ish) but promised service they were arriving any minute and my service was would be finished on time. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I was not charged for the front brake job. I estimate my two day service dept waiting time at over 6 hours total plus an extra 60 mile drive! I am happy with my vehicle condition but still confused how a common item like brake pads caused such inconvience!! Kym Van Skiver More

She spent the time to show me cars and on computer to show me the difference on gas mileage between each vehicle I looked at. Because of the time she took with me I ended up buying a 2014 Honda civic when I originally went there to purchase a used vehicle. I would recommend anyone to this dealership. It takes a lot to win me over when I purchase a vehicle and Amber did just that. I have already shared my experience with many. I will return to Allan Nott and Amber when I plan to purchase another vehicle. More

We actually put off buying a new car because of the expatriating experiences we have had before. This dealership is different. The people want to be here, and it shows. From the very 1st contact w/ Jamie, then the sales rep. Matt, to Adam to Jason the whole process took only about 2hrs.. this to me was unbelievable.
