Hands down, the best sales experience I've ever had. Here's the simple story leading up to my purchase - A previous Toyota dealer took me for nearly $10,000 on my trade-in 5 years ago (totally lied to me Here's the simple story leading up to my purchase - A previous Toyota dealer took me for nearly $10,000 on my trade-in 5 years ago (totally lied to me, knew he had a great trade in offer and was dealing with someone he knew didn't know as much as he thought he knew). Walking into this experience, I HATED car dealers, they're sleazy... It's all about the profit, right!? The day I purchased - I walked into the sales office with a chip on my shoulder. I prepped for nearly two weeks beforehand. Shopped on Sundays, reviewed every online resource and tried to get as much inside information as possible - it was MY TURN to take THEM to the bank. Then I met chuck. I went on a test drive in the car I knew I wanted (but I wasn't going to tell him that!) and started "playing the game". I'd say something like, "I'm looking here and there at this model and have looked at this other manufacturer, but Toyota's are a good choice - you know, I'm just shopping." After about 3.5 minutes, I knew I was dealing with someone who was genuine - so I dropped the false front and unloaded on him. I shared every single emotion and all the baggage of my previous experience. I basically told him that it was the other dealers fault that I didn't trust him. Knowing my history (because it's all too true in most cases), Chuck nodded, smiled and said that's not how he does business, then proceeded to talk me through how the deal would work out. I immediately trusted Chuck. There was no haggling and no deceit - it felt honest. Chuck explained EVERYTHING so we were always on the same page. Even when we were going back and forth about the final price, he made it a comfortable environment for negotiation. In the end, I felt extremely comfortable purchasing the car I wanted. Chuck did such a great job, my wife bought him a pint of ice cream on the day we closed the purchase! You need to talk to Chuck. Yes, it is his job to sell you the vehicles on the lot and I'm sure he wants you to walk out the door with one; but he's NOT going to put you in a situation that doesn't work for you. You will walk out the door totally satisfied and, when you purchase your next vehicle with him, you can rest assured that you were well informed, and taken great care of, every step of the way. I knew from previous research, that the price was fair for a CPO Camry with 26k, but it was nice to run into a salesperson who had the humility to explain his position rather play games and run back and forth between his manager and I. Rob is a stand-up guy. They also have the best service advisor I've ever worked with in Joseph Tsai. Only reason it is not a five star review is that the ladies in the finance department were a pain to deal with. More
