We ordered brand new Grand Highlander on 08/24 and today it finally came in!!! Wife was so excited. We get there and there she is. Beautiful! Missing sunroof and 2nd row bench seat as per original order bu it finally came in!!! Wife was so excited. We get there and there she is. Beautiful! Missing sunroof and 2nd row bench seat as per original order but not a big deal. We take it for a ride and wife loves it! Time to talk finance and my trade. That's where things went sideways. I did my research and had exact clue what my trade in was worth. 34k from Carvana and 33-34k from few other dealers and almost 37k from KBB. Imagine my surprise when they offer me a generous 29k! I get it , everyone has to make money but how can they offer 5k less than any competitor. Obviously i presented my proof of actual value but it was waste of time. They would not even counter offer. They simply suggested that i should take my car over there. I have never felt more humiliated like this in my 28 years of car buying. It's as if my trade in was 10 year old 100k miles Chevy Malibu. It is instead a 2 year old Lexus with only 21k miles that was 67k brand new and 2 more years of factory warranty in excellent condition. I understand that electric cars do not hold good value these days but at least be competitive in pricing rather that gouging customers for their hard earned money. This is by far worst experience i have ever had at any dealer and there were quite few. Extraordinary way to humiliate and put down any potential customers is downright unbelievable. Salesman btw was an excellent gentleman and i do not hold any bad feelings towards him but management is just a pack of greedy wolves. I highly recommend to avoid these vultures at any costs if you have trade in , you are guaranteed to be low balled and having your hard earned cash taken from you. NEVER AGAIN!!! More
