Kevin ROCKED! I had been searching for an older Toyota 4Runner ( well loved and with low miles) for 2-3 weeks. I finally found one, but with a different dealership. After going there to test drive and buy 4Runner ( well loved and with low miles) for 2-3 weeks. I finally found one, but with a different dealership. After going there to test drive and buy, I was not impressed with their customer service or negotiating skills (and their trade in value for my car). I actually walked away from the table because we couldn't come to terms with price ( and I am talking about a small difference). Having a bad taste in my mouth, I contacted Kevin again to tell him I want to buy from him and explained my bad experience. He was always kind, and was very good about keeping in touch from the initial contact I made with him. Being in sales myself, customer service is always a top priority...and Kevin made me feel like I was top priority. Within a week of thinking I am never going to find the 4Runner I want, Kevin called to tell me one did just arrive. He also told me to get there NOW as this truck will go fast. And it sure did! Two other interested partties liked it too,but because I listened to Kevin on getting there pronto, I am the proud new owner of this BEAUTIFUL 4Runner!!! Not to mention I liked the price I paid for it, and the trade-in I got for my car (plus Kevin made sure she was sparkling before i brought her home).I will buy more cars from Kevin, and I will recommend him to anyone!!! I bought my new 2012 Scion TC back in April and there's nothing but great things to say about the car. Tom Murray, the sales person was nothing but great. I want to thank him for his knowledge and assistance. However, I decided to write my review now to show my displeasure with the finance team and the service they provide. When I bought my new car, I also bought the extended warranty with it. A couple of weeks after the purchase, I decided to go back and cancel my warranty at the dealership because I found out my finance payment was increased from 60 months to 72 months to make it seem like my monthly payment didn't go up so high for the warranty added on. He never told me that he purposely increase my payment terms. It is my fault I didn't read over the detail before signing the paperwork but what can you expect from a first time new car buyer? Fast forward to today, it is now August and I have yet to received my refund for the warranty after waiting for four months. Multiple calls to the dealer and all I get was to keep waiting. Multiple calls to Fidelity and all they said is that they have not received notification from dealer that the warranty was cancel. To me, it looks like Wilde never file the refund paperwork. I finally stop at the dealer with the dated receipt and looks like the paperwork will be "process immediately" today. What a coincident that it didn't get file back in April. Again I'm not happy with the service I got. Will update when I get my refund for the warranty. More
Kevin is very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave truthful advise on which cars to look and which ones to stay away from. Terry was the WORST sales person I have ever encountered at any dealership - EVER. He bragged that he has been doing this for 17 years, yet proved to me that he should not be working face to face with peop at any dealership - EVER. He bragged that he has been doing this for 17 years, yet proved to me that he should not be working face to face with people in a matter of 30 seconds. We visited Wilde Toyota to purchase a Rav4. I have shopped around for months and was finally ready to sign on the dotted line. I was with my better half and we test drove a 2010 Rav4. I noticed the interior was poorly cleaned, the center of the backseat hat its cloth worn down practically to the sponge in the seat, the right rim was severely gouged, the interior roof had numerous stains that looked like someone spilled chili ON THE ROOF, the headlights had a scuff 1/4 inch think and the length of the entire light, and then my boyfriend found a nail int he rear tire, a bumper clip missing, and numerous cosmetic blemishes on the paint. The sticker price was $19,995. He saw us come back and inspecting the car, but still did not come to us. He was walking around the lot no here near us. He came back to us about 10min later. When I pointed out the issues with the vehicle to Terry, he acted as if I was crazy, but still looked at all what I pointed out. He said, "What do you want?" The only time he said anything positive was when I pointed to the nail. He said, "I have to patch that." With regards to the large scuff in the headlight, he pointed to a different Rav4 near me and said, "See the scuff in that light?" I said, "No, that was is fine." He said, "there's your new light. He asks me again, "What do you want?" I said, "I want a new tire, a clean roof, a non-scuffed headlight, and I want money off that price for buying a car with a very gouged rim and severely worn back seat." He said, "Let's go inside and crunch the numbers." I have a 2000 Camry LE for a trade-in. I was offered $3000. I accepted that, no problem. Then I saw the price of the vehicle hadn't changed - it still showed $19,995. He left AGAIN - said he'd be back "no longer than 5min." 15 minutes later, he came back. I asked about the $19,995 price and he shook his head and said, "No. That's firm. There is a man here to buy that car right now." I asked him, "How much is a new Rav4?" His response was nearly knocked me off my chair - he said, "I sell new cars ma'am, I don't know." Then he said, "I'll give you two 5 more min." My boyfriend and I said, "we don't need 5min. You said we could talk about lowering the sticker price and now you won't. good bye" 1. Never once did you ask me what I was looking for in a vehicle. 2. Never once did he ask what my price range was. 3. Never once did he offer other options for me to look at. What he DID do was: 1. Lost a life-long customer. I was coming back to buy my 4th Toyota from Wilde. 2. Lost a life-long Toyota Loyalist. My family has always purchased Toyota's from Wilde. My mom is on her 4th Toyota, my aunt is on her 6th Toyota, my cousin in on his 2nd Toyota, my boyfriend bought his Solara, My grandma drives a Celica, my best friend drives a Corolla, and this list goes on and on. My whole family drives Toyota's since I can remember - each of them was purchased from Wilde Toyota. 3. Changed my mind and caused me to leave the Wilde parking lot very upset. This caused me to drive right across te street to talk to Honda City. 4. Terry, Having treated me like absolute crap, I wanted to test drive a comprable car to the Rav4 - a Honda CR-V. ---- I put $200 down that very night - on a Honda CR-V with delivery of the vehicle to me in 2 days. I am now the PROUD owner of a HONDA. Yes, a Honda! NO ONE IN MY FAMILY DRIVES ANYTHING EXCEPT A TOYOTA. After my horrible experience with Terry Dies at Wilde, I have passed on this information to everyone in my family. Because of one VERY DISTURBING salesman, Wilde has lost future business from my family. My uncle owns a popular business in the greater Milwaukee area and uses Toyota Tundra's for work trucks. When I told him how I was treated by Terry, he said, "Jack Safro Toyota is closer to us anyways." Bottom - line, it seems as though Terry's poor attitude and unwillingness to talk civil, negotiate, and spend quality time learning about me a a customer - that he has single-handedly lost the business of more than 10 buyers from my family. I will be posting my dissatisfaction on Facebook, Angie's List, here, and many more to hopefully spread the word to AVOID this sales man at all costs. Terry Dies has ruined my love of Wilde Toyota and caused me to purchase the first non-Toyota in our family since 1970. I love my Honda so far, and am very pleased with my decision. I guess I should probably thank Terry for that. More
This was my second purchase from Wilde Toyota and I was exremely pleased with the service that I received through out the purchase process. Having checked out a couple other dealers during my unexpected search for a new car, Zak and the Toyota crew went above and beyond the other dealers in terms of making me feel comfortable, being straight forward and sincere, and overall making me feel like I mattered as a customer. Zak even adjusted his schedule and came in on his day off so that he could be present when my husband test drove the vehicle before we had decided on going with Toyota. After making the decision to purchase another corolla, it was a joy to work with Vicki Sylvester in the finance department. She made the process quick and painless. I have now had my 2012 Toyota Corolla for about a month and I love it. I consider buying a new car a very stressful experience, however, Zak, Vicki, and the others that I met during my trips to Toyota, made it a pressure free and friendly environment. More
Working with Rob made it that much easier to return to him a second time when I was interested in purchasing another automobile. We shopped nearly every dealership in town with little help on financing or finding a nice car for our family of five that we could afford and be proud of owning. Then we stopped at Wilde Toyota in West Allis and were greeted by Kevin Nelson. Kevin is not a used car salesman. Kevin is a Pre-owned Sales Consultant with over twenty years of finding the right car at the right price for his clients. And that is exactly what Kevin did for our family. He called me and said he felt a very nice car may be coming in on trade and he would make sure we had the first choice of seeing it. It was a 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS and it looked and drove like new. I took it to my mechanic during our test drive and he said he buys all his cars from Wilde. He checked it out and told me to buy it. My mechanic told me that you do not have to worry when you buy a car from Wilde. Kevin got us a great price and introduced us to Mikhail Ageyev our Finance Manager who was able to get us an affordable monthly payment even with our recent chapter seven and bad credit. Considering our last two years of living through the Great Recession, We finally have a positive experience that gave us a beautiful car at an affordable price and will help us rebuild our credit and our family. I will buy my next car from Kevin Nelson and highly recommend Kevin and Wilde Toyota to everyone. This was the best car buying experience I have had in forty years of buying cars.
