Wilson County Hyundai responded

I do recognize that we had a communication error and I take full responsibility for my staff. However, it is a mixed message at best to say you don't need an oil change but you do want the recall campaign done on the vehicle. Recall Campaign 162 requires that we remove and replace the oil in your vehicle as a step in the process (at no cost to you). Hyundai will not count the recall as done (which I understand is the reason you were here today) if this step is not completed. It is a misstatement to say it is the "wrong oil". We actually put in the factory recommended oil under the Hyundai Oil Program. When I personally called you, I agreed to pay you back for the $77.69 you paid at Walmart for an oil change on 7/27 because we mis understood your instructions. Additionally, I offered to send you at no charge a new Hyundai filter so you can put a factory part back in the engine. It is mildly frustrating that you would publicly berate us after the Service Manager and Owner apologized, took full responsibility and paid you for the mis understanding. I am going to send the check and filter because I told you I would. I hope you will keep your word and take your vehicles elsewhere in the future.

I am sorry you are unhappy that the sealant company does not provide a rental vehicle during the repair they are providing at a third party body shop. We strive to provide great customer service before and after the sale as does Hyundai with America's Best Warranty. If the car were in our shop and we were taking three weeks to repair, a rental car would be provided by Hyundai under the terms of the warranty. In this case, we are being asked to pay for a rental car for a third party shop which is unaffiliated with us in any way on a repair that is not related to the Hyundai warranty.
