"Yonkers honda does not honor new car warranty "

In March 2018 I bought a 2017 new Honda Accord Touring leftover. On 9/24/18 the trunk lid wouldn't stay open; it would slam shut, and a parking system sensor problem light appeared on my dash. I brought it in to Yonkers Honda, NY, where i bought the car for warranty work. Both the advisor, Alex and the service manager, Rich said I had caustic materials (not so) in my trunk which caused the damage and the repair would not be under warranty and would cost $770. I brought my car to a different dealer, New Rochelle Honda, NY, who fixed my car under warranty, no questions asked and polite and accommodating as can be. Bobby was my advisor, a true gentleman. A Honda dealer took better care of me than the dealer I from whom i bought the car. It is doubtful I would buy another Honda. And if I did it would definitely not be from Yonkers Honda but from New Rochelle.

"Great service"

I had my alternator go on me while I was driving. Yonkers Honda service department had a shuttle replace my battery and follow me to the shop. They then help me rent a car at a nearby Hertz. One day went by and I had my car back with an oil change. Rich and R.J. kept me up to date on everything.

"Don't change oil here!"

Very sketchy. When they change your oil they don't put back in enough, or don't give you the oil type you ask for. They changed my coolant and then told me a few weeks later that I needed my hoses changed(not true) & WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO CHANGE MY COOLANT AGAIN. They told me my tires had 2/32? of tread when they had 8-10/32 of tread. THEY DON'T DIAGNOSE ON SATURDAY - should be there busiest day! I could go on .......

"Rip off-Quote of $ 575 for an $85 job."

Had my car towed there because it could not start. Service representative initially told me the diagnostic would cost $136. Later called me back to say it may be more complex and I will have to pay a $575 diagnostic charge to go further... just to find out what it is. Towed my car to another mechanic. He diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes and fixed it in 20 minutes. Parts and Labor $85. Not getting ripped off.... priceless. They have no conscience! One of the grounding cable was corroded and needed to be changed!

"wonderful visits for sales and service at Yonkers Honda"

This was an unusual visit. My daughter's 2004 Honda accord with 146,000 miles was brought to Yonkers Honda with a misfiring cylinder. Alisa said they wanted to test it some more and the verdict came back. The car was done. My daughter was crushed .Alisa was so understanding and she helped us donate the car, have it towed and kept the plates until i could pick them up. This was service beyond the call of duty and made me feel Yonkers Honda was family. In addition, there was no mention of another Honda since my daughter had just moved to NYC and did not want a car in the city.

"Appointments don't matter"

- Don't go there for service

I recently made an appointment for service because of a bad battery. I took my car in that morning at 7:30am.and was forced to leave it or make another appointment. Reluctantly I left my car and told the rep that I needed my car asap. At 2pm I called and my car hadn't even been looked at. Angrily I asked to speak to the service manager Mike who told me if I'm unhappy I can come in a get the car without any service performed. I will not be going to service my car there again
