Scheduled service Great experience here. Sadly I purchased my 4Runner elsewhere simply because they had what I wanted on the lot. That was a mistake. The treatment Great experience here. Broken window controls We purchased a used Camry hybrid and found a few problems, including that the window and lock controls on the drivers side door fell into the hollow p We purchased a used Camry hybrid and found a few problems, including that the window and lock controls on the drivers side door fell into the hollow part of the door due to broken plastic pieces in the chassis that holds the controls up in the door armrest. I was quoted a price of $700 to fix it, with the two parts costing almost $600, $100 for labor. Needless to say, the sticker price to fix shoddy plastic blew me away. As I looked around the car, there were other broken plastic pieces, such as the rail inside the center console and at least one of the vent covers in the back seat. It is possible that all of this broken plastic is due to the previous owner, but I think the plastic parts are poorly built, having observed problems with so many of them. I have never had problems like this with any of my previous non-Toyota vehicles. At any rate, Joel was easy to work with to set up appointments. I brought the car in for the window control repair only to be told that his people ordered the wrong parts. Bummer to waste more than a hour of my day. A few weeks later we brought the car back and had the right parts installed. The silver lining was that Joel allowed us to use a dealership coupon that brought the total to just under $500 (to replace broken plastic Toyota parts mind you). The sad thing is that it felt better than paying $700. At any rate, that was kind of Joel and the service was good. I can’t comolain about Racine Toyota. But seriously, TOYOTA CORPORATION (not Racine Toyota) feels like a ripoff. I’m not impressed by their cheaply made shoddy parts. More
