I sold my 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid through BidBus, which connected me with Stevens Creek Nissan Infiniti. I drove over an hour south from San Francisco and had to Uber it back. During the visit, they also tried to knock nearly $1,000 off the agreed price, claiming my tires were “cracked and unsafe,” even though I’d uploaded clear photos during the BidBus process and the tires were less than four years old.
I went through with the sale on September 26, but as of October 20 — almost a month later — I still haven’t received payment for my equity. The dealership keeps saying they’re waiting on the title, even though Chase confirmed the loan was paid off on October 2 and the lien released on October 10.
If I’d gone to CarMax or Carvana, the money would’ve been in my account before I even left their office. Instead, I’ve spent weeks chasing updates. I regret using BidBus and working with this dealer — slow, frustrating, and nothing like the “fast and easy” process they advertise.
