I had an absolutely terrible experience with **Imperial Capital Cars**, and I strongly warn anyone, especially students or first-time buyers, to stay away!!!
From the very beginning, the process was rushed and misleading. I initially put $4,000 down on a 2017 red Audi A3, only to be told after handing over my money that there was suddenly a bank issue and I could no longer get the car. This forced me into purchasing a 2013 Nissan Maxima, which I did not originally want.
Less than one hour after purchase, the car broke down across the street at Walgreens. The owner, Yusef Ubered me back to my school. The next day, instead of taking responsibility, I was called into his office, blamed for the issue, and then kicked out simply because he refused to return my money.
The problems never stopped. I purchased the vehicle in February, and since then:
* **March:** Check engine light came on — needed a tune-up
* **April:** Same issue returned
* **End of May:** AC compressor failed
* **Mid-June:** Radiator cracked and vehicle failed
* **July 28:** Check engine light again, rough driving — coil pack issue
* **December 15:** Now facing serious issues with **bearings and the motor**
After doing my own research, I discovered the vehicle was deemed a TOTAL LOSS in December of 2018. This information was never disclosed to me, and it does not appear anywhere in the paperwork I was given at purchase.
I am a 19-year-old college student athlete, and I truly feel that I was taken advantage of. This dealership showed no accountability, no transparency, and no concern for customer safety or honesty.
This has been a costly, stressful, and unfair experience. Please learn from my mistake and take your business elsewhere.
