I visited Carvilla on March 6, 2026 to purchase a 2022 Rivian R1T Adventure Package (Stock #NN007505).
The vehicle was advertised online at $46,700. However, when I received the buyer’s worksheet, the dealership added a $999 documentation fee on top of the advertised price.
I asked if the fee could be removed or included in the advertised price, but the dealership declined.
Under guidance from the **Georgia Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division, non-government fees such as dealer documentation fees are supposed to be included in the advertised vehicle price. Only government fees (tax, tag, title) should be added separately.
Because of this, I filed a complaint with the **Georgia Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division.
I even emailed the sales manager, Gustavo E Belzares, giving the dealership the opportunity to resolve the issue and complete the purchase by removing or adjusting the $999 fee, but I never received a response.
I was genuinely ready to buy the truck that same day. Unfortunately, the pricing practice and lack of response prevented the deal from moving forward.
I hope the dealership becomes more transparent about their advertised pricing so customers know the true cost before visiting.
