Thank you so much service department.
Twice your service department have privided assistance to me. Both times they were kind and informative. The first time, I was traveling from my home in Topeka (in my Prius) to my father’s home in Grinnell. While driving a wind storm came up and made the molding on my roof to fly around. Your service department taped the molding down and gave me great ideas on how to self repair my car.
This week your service team again came to my rescue by providing assistance to me while again I was visiting my father. After driving my car to take my father to his doctor’s appointment my car would not start. I tried to find a local mechanic but no one knew how to work on hybrid cars. I called your dealership,, and again your service department provided assistance. After asking several questions, your technician determined that my battery was dead. He talked me through the steps to jump my car, and even helping me find the correct battery.

Quality Toyota Independence Kansas, here we go now update. They send my car out to Quality paints to have the scratch taken out. At first glance I thought they'd taken care of the problem. This morning when I go out to my car I realized that the spot where they scratch my car has not been taken care of! You think these guys from quality paint would cover your car so they wouldn't get splattered on the rest of your car,especially on black trim! Nobody takes pride in their work anymore! When I called quality Toyota this morning I was so mad I was shaking! The more I look at my car there is swirl marks from whoever was using a dirty mitt while they were washing my car! The thing is I never asked them to wash my car! So now I have this problem with them xxxxxxx my god is anybody professional anymore!

Today I went to Crown Toyota Dealership in Lawrence, Kansas, because the 2015 Toyota Highlander, that I had purchased from them in March 2020 was making whirring noises in the engine. After waiting over two hours, the Maintenance Staff informed me that I would need to replace the engine, which was well over $5,000, or I could talk to the Sales Representatives about doing a trade-in. However, after speaking to the Sales Department, they could only find similar vehicles in the price range of $22,000. The purchase price of my highlander was over $19,000. Trading into a higher priced vehicle will increase my payment, which I cannot do.
I trusted Toyota to pull through with being the best and was sadly scammed into buying a broken Highlander and now the Sales Staff is trying to sell me a more expensive vehicle! My Highlander has less than 100,000 miles on it and is only five years old! It should not be having any major mechanical issues, such as engine problems. The Crown Dealership even had me sign paperwork saying that the vehicle was mechanically sound and checked by their Maintenance Staff, which included the engine. I was told by the Maintenance Staff that the issue with the engine “could not have been for-seen.” I have already paid over $3,500, including a $1,000 down payment on the Highlander, and yet the best they could do was replace my engine for over $5,000 or trade me in for a more expensive vehicle? I feel that Toyota is not standing up to their name, which is to be the best long lasting vehicles around.

BMW has the worst service department we have ever experienced. We took our SUV BMW in for yearly service and it came back three days later in WORSE shape that when we brought it in! We have purchased three BMWs in the last 10 years but we will not be doing this again.
When I went to pick it up, they had gashed in the back of the car with some type of tool. And then we discovered, after we got home (one hour away, that they hadn't even changed the oil!!

I leased a BMW 328i from Joe Self about 8 years ago. I had a continuing problem with the seat belt extender - the seat belt snapped off the extender every time I got in the car and tried to buckle the driver's seat belt. I went back to the dealership time after time (all while the car was under warranty) and the service department told me that it was a design defect that BMW was aware of. The seat belt extender was replaced several times - it worked for a few weeks, then the seat belt began to snap off the extender. The last time I took the car in to be fixed, the service manager told me that it was as good as it was going to get and they would not repair the car again. When the lease expired, I turned the car in and explained that I was very disappointed in the service and response. The manager I talked to at that time was very cold. I next bought a Mini from a Kansas City dealer, and then a BMW X3i from the Kansas City dealership, solely because of my bad customer service experience at Joe Self. When I recently got notice that my BMW was due for yearly service, I called Joe Self BMW dealership since I live in Wichita and asked for an appointment for service. I have to assume that Joe Self BMW is reimbursed by BMW for annual maintenance and Joe Self is not doing the annual maintenance out of the goodness of its heart. I asked for a loaner car since that is one of the advertised "perks" of Joe Self. I was abruptly told that at the direction of Mr. Self, that the dealership would not provide loaner cars to those BMW owners who did not purchase the car from dealership. I love the cars, but the dealership leaves a lot to be desired and will certainly not get my business in the future. Cannot recommend this dealership to anyone.

Not only did the brakes pads they replaced and the strut they fixed start making noises after only a few months, when I got the car back both times something else had been broken on my car and oil and dirty rags were left on the carpet. They owe me a blinker switch!
