I just wanted to give you all a big shout out about our fantastic experience at Statewide Ford in Van Wert Ohio and to let you know that we made it home safe and sound here at 9000 ft. in Colorado. We are very excited about our new F350 Platinum Super Duty Dually and look forward to traveling around the country with our camper on it!
We were frustrated with the “Big" Ford dealers here in Colorado having visited many of the dealers along the front range area. They just didn’t have the knowledgeable sales people and friendly support team that you folks have there at Statewide Ford. I had the same experience back in 1997 when I finally decided to buy my first new Heavy Duty Power Stroke truck from from “Bob” Wood at Statewide Ford. Our local dealers just didn’t want listen to our specific needs and desired options choosing instead to push the trucks that were on their lot.
Randy Custer was incredibly supportive and demonstrated that he really knows his trucks and the procurement process. If there was a question about an option he was eager to quickly research the topic and promptly respond. We were kept informed about the progress of the build and he let us know exactly what the costs would be. Kierstan walked us through all the technology available on the new truck and explained it in a way that us “older” folks could understand. She was also quick to encourage us to contact her at anytime with questions. The service manager was willing to put the truck on a lift to help answer questions I had…..try getting that kind of support at the “Big” dealers! The entire team at Statewide came out to say hi from Matt to Justin. We enjoyed reminiscing with Jill about our previous experience with “Bob” and sharing details about our “old” truck that still looks new!
In summary, you can be assured that our experience at Statewide will be shared with friends and family. Neighbors are already calling up to ask for a “showing” of the new truck. A purchase of this size is clearly a big deal for us and we want to thank you all for your support and help making it an enjoyable experience.

Went in and dealt with salesman Jakob Pool, thought everything was going great until he tried to switch me to a lease then said finance told him they cant run my reports. But the problem started when i noticed he took a picture of my drivers license front and back on his personal cell phone. That is not acceptable. Im looking into if that's illegal with my attorney. After that he continued to ask me my SS number a 100 times. He said i must have a freeze on my credit bureau because they cant get into any of them, so i left and went home to make sure there was no freeze or locked accounts. He told me to text him and let him know they were all unlocked, i verified it with all 3 bureaus and my reports were not frozen. I texted him that evening. The next day he called and said nope, cant get into any of them, so i called each credit bureau and verified they were available. Called jakob and he said nope still cant run your credit.
Well something is fishy at this dealership, because i just realized today that they didnt try at all, because i get alerts from all 3 bureaus and also credit karma and also my credit cards alert me when someone tries to pull a report.
So this guy didnt try at all....so what the heck is going on here??? I have a big down payment, already approved through my credit union and they dont want to sell me a car. And Jakob wont even respond to my text or calls now. Bad business practices there!
