ISSUE: Intermittent problem w/ Remote Key Entry / Locking,
VEHICLE: 2020 Ford F-350 Dually Pickup.
Vehicle has developed problem as noted. Onset @ 2 weeks ago.
Sent Email two (2) days ago, requesting’APPT’ w/ Service Department to have issue evaluated / repaired. Received reply either late last night or this morning to contact Service Mgr., for appointment. Telephoned today about 1000 hrs and spoke with ‘someone’ in Service Dept.
Initially polite and said would look for my “information “. He then told me they could ‘get me in on Friday, 03/12/21. Today is 03/09/21. I then asked if I were to bring the truck / Remote Key and have someone just “check the battery” and replace if needed? He said “No” that would have to be done during a scheduled appointment, “Friday the 12th!”.
I told him that was “ridiculous, to have to wait wait three days to have Remote Key battery checked”! I further told him that was “poor Service”, “asinine Service policy”, and that I would just take my vehicle somewhere else for “real service”!
To be unable to have a Remote Key Battery checked and possibly replaced on a walk-in is about the poorest Service I have ever heard of!
