I brought my car in because it had battery troubles. Turns out there was a remote start that had been incorrectly installed by the previous owner that was draining the battery. Mazda took absolutely no Turns out there was a remote start that had been incorrectly installed by the previous owner that was draining the battery. Mazda took absolutely no responsibility for this, even though they did not tell me about this remote start before I purchased the vehicle. They removed the remote start to stop the battery drain. I talked to the used car sales manager to see if they would pay for this repair. He did not care what I had to say. All he tried to do was convince me that a remote start was a feature I should want on my vehicle, and refused to pay for the repair. They offered me $100 off on the repair. I have bought my last 3 cars from this dealer and I won’t be buying my next one here. I’ve also had family members purchase cars here. That is how much my decade long business is worth to them - $100. Will not be coming back. More

I recently purchased a used vehicle here. Overall, my experience was very frustrating. I went there to view a specific vehicle that was listed as Certified Pre-Owned on their website. The salespe experience was very frustrating. I went there to view a specific vehicle that was listed as Certified Pre-Owned on their website. The salesperson told me that it was not Certified and attempted to sell me the vehicle without the Certified Pre-Owned warranty. It was only after I pointed out to him that the website listed it as Certified Pre-Owned that he even grabbed the proper paperwork. I am disappointed by how I feel that there are reasonable grounds to believe he attempted to screw us out of the Certified Pre-Owned warranty by claiming that the vehicle was not Certified Pre-Owned. I had also clicked a link to Capital One, on the Luther Mazda website, for that specific vehicle, and received credit pre-approval. The “Finance Manager” stated that the application I submitted was approved under someone else’s name and disclosed that person’s personal identifying information to me. The disclosure of someone else’s personal identifying information in itself is troubling. He then attempted to get me to submit a new application. I believe that there are reasonable grounds to suspect that was so that he could get commission on the loan through his preferred lender. Whether that is the case or not, I feel that there are reasonable grounds to suspect that it was either inefficient, terrible, dishonest, and fraudulent service or he simply does not know how to do his job properly. I called and spoke to Capital One while this “Finance Manager” had us sitting there and confirmed the credit pre-approval with a Capital One representative in less than 5 minutes. At that point I refused to work any further with the that “Finance Manager” as he had now wasted almost three hours of our time and done absolutely nothing to resolve the situation. The only reason we didn’t get up and walk out was due to the Certified Pre-Owned warranty and the Costco Auto Program discount. Following that the Used Car Manager was somehow able to find my credit pre-approval “In another system”. The very same credit pre-approval that the “Finance Manager” claimed did not exist. Finally, we worked with a different Finance Manager. He was the only positive part of this whole interaction. He worked with me and actually got us a lower rate on the loan in the end. I appreciate his assistance. Upon arriving home, we discovered that the owner’s manual was not in the vehicle. One of the 160 points of the Certified Pre-Owned inspection is verifying that the owner’s manual is in the glove box. That box was checked on the form, but the owner’s manual was not there. They will be sending me a replacement owner’s manual, but considering that it was missing makes it difficult for me to believe that they actually completed the 160 point inspection completely and thoroughly. After all was said and done, I spoke with the General Manager who offered a sincere apology for my experience and stated that he will have discussions with everyone involved. While that conversation did not rectify the situation itself, I do feel better about the dealership as a whole. I am satisfied with the vehicle and the final resolution, but am not happy with the experience. More
