Stopped without an appointment on my way to another dealer. Had deposit and pre approval in hand. Upon arrival unit was not in the used lot. Was met at the door by Ahmad and he was nice enough to loca dealer. Had deposit and pre approval in hand. Upon arrival unit was not in the used lot. Was met at the door by Ahmad and he was nice enough to locate the unit. Took it for a short spin and left for my other appointment. Returned in less than an hour gave the truck a second look and agreed to purchase it. After three trips away from his deck the salesman said the finance guy would be right with us. A second discussion led us to believe it would be another 15 or 20 minutes. After 45 minutes we were asked to join Howard for some paperwork. First question was how are you paying for this today? It was obvious the salesman had not even briefed him on our behalf. Having now explained it for a second time we got to the paperwork. Not once were we informed that a delay should be expected in the transaction due to the dealership having just paid off the trade-in with the lien release pending. Confusion as to the status of the title and lien made our financial person take pause until cleared. It being the weekend no biggie! Monday morning we went to the dealership and the truck was back in the used car lot and relisted on their web site. In confronting the salesman he said his manger will sell me the vehicle but it needs to be paid for now. To say the least I walked out - I take it contract or not they do what they want. Never Again! More
