I was then charged $1100 for a "used car inspection fee" (I went online and found out this fee typically ranges from $100-$200). Salesman told me tires on the car were new (they were original tires with 42,000 miles on them). Finance guy slipped in a $3300 "maintenance contract" while we were signing all the paperwork. I found it a few days later while going over the contracts to try to recover the excess "used car inspection fee". When I called to complain about these two fees I was directed back to the new finance guy (the one I dealt with a few days earlier was no longer with the company. I suspect I was not the first person he did this to but they did not admit to it, nor offer an apology for the obviously unethical tactic). They removed the maintenance contract but did not refund any of the excess "inspection fee" saying they charge all customers this same $1100 fee. When I called to speak to the general manager about the shady sales practices, both calls went unreturned. When I drove off the lot with the vehicle, there was less than 1/8 of a tank of gas. I assumed they would have filled the car up. More

False advertising of pricing Sherman Dodge in Skokie, IL falsely advertises their price for vehicles. They listed a 2018 Dodge Durango SRT, vin 1C4SDJGJ7JC415592, for $56,640 and Sherman Dodge in Skokie, IL falsely advertises their price for vehicles. They listed a 2018 Dodge Durango SRT, vin 1C4SDJGJ7JC415592, for $56,640 and in the description it says that "All incentives and discounts are applied are available to all consumers". Well I just spoke with them and their discount is only available if the buyer meets certain criteria, which I do not, therefore they will not honor the listed price. I have seen listings similar to this before by other dealerships but they have clearly stated that the buyer must meet certain criteria for all listed discounts. This is false advertisement and when speaking with a salesperson on the phone, there was absolutely no interest in honoring the listing price or any discount at all. He asked if I was still interested, and I said not at the full MSRP price ($16k more than the listing), and he said Ok and hung up. I can't believe any consumer would be willing to work with a dealership who acts in this manner. *note the salesperson I spoke with is not listed, but I had to select someone to submit the review More

Poor customer service, false advertising The salesman that we worked with (MIchael) wasted a lot of time driving us to "the lot" to checkout a vehicle that he could not even find. He would n The salesman that we worked with (MIchael) wasted a lot of time driving us to "the lot" to checkout a vehicle that he could not even find. He would not look us in the eye and other than our first handshake, we never shook hands on a deal or were congratulated. Seems like management is not training the sales team and just telling them "go...sell!". The website showed an MSRP price around $35,000 with up to a $12,000 reduction based on rebates. We qualified for certain rebates, but some of them conflicted with others, so the website is giving false advertising since no one could ever achieve all the rebates. Overall, the car sales process is broken, but we felt dissatisfied and taken advantage of when we left with our vehicle. NOT a good experience. Time for management to do some training and provide more of a customer service feel vs. just take-take-take. More
