I received a text back (my preferred method) almost immediately stating that it was. After a few texts, I was given sales consultant John Gregory's name to meet when my partner and I got there. As soon as we walked in, we were instantly greeted and escorted to where John was. He was extremely pleasant and professional. We went for a test drive and fell in love with the car. Since it was almost closing time I asked if we could secure the paperwork tonight and finish everything up/pick up the car the next day. John was off but without hesitation said he would be there to complete the sale. While we were waiting for Filip to get the paperwork together, John walked us through the facility to see the service department for all the vehicles they service. Unbelievable facility!! Ready to start signing, we were offered the comprehensive service contract. We hesitated due to having had a very bad experience on our last vehicle (purchased elsewhere). I asked to think about it and would decide the next day when we picked up the car. Still unsure when we got there, John took the time to explain everything to us. Putting our minds at easy and fully understanding all our options, we decided to get the comprehensive service contract. Ali finished up the paperwork while John made sure our new vehicle was ready. There are sales consultants who are friendly and do their job well, but John has gone above and beyond for us. If you are looking for a consultant who is honest, knowledgeable and passionate about his trade, ask for John Gregory. More

Purchased 2018 QX80AWD-expect better from Infiniti Purchased $50k+, 2018 Infiniti QX80AWD with dealer installed Zurich Shield application ($699). Car was delivered with serious/significant detailing problems, as noted in the pictures. Dealership was contacted for immediate remedy. Nearly 1 month into my efforts, professional detailer remedied the issue locally and is awaiting payment from Zurich shield. The Zurich application had to be removed in it's entirety to fully address underlying dealer detailing problems. Now dealership is refusing to return $699. Lots of promises from various folks, Ali in finance, Chad in management, and Tyler in sales; however no action as of yet. Would NOT recommend dealing with these folks. Much more professional operations out there that care about their customers and would not run off with folks $699. Will have to file BBB claim and initiate legal proceedings. AVOID! More

Helpful when selling. Not so helpful after. Leased my first INFINITI through Motor Werks, had a good enough experience throughout the purchase process—Ali was actually the one who made the sale Leased my first INFINITI through Motor Werks, had a good enough experience throughout the purchase process—Ali was actually the one who made the sale to us at that time. They worked with me to get to the price point I was looking for. Opted into extra insurance for tire/wheel protection; used it one time when I needed to get the tire replaced. Funny enough, the insurance I opted in to didn’t cover the full cost of the tire, so had to pay the difference. I suppose that was my fault for assuming the insurance I was opting in to would be worthwhile. Lesson learned there. My lease recently came to term. Decided I wanted to purchase a new INFINITI since I enjoyed the drive of the Q50, so I went back to the Barrington Motor Werks; figured it would be the most seamless and cost effective option since that’s where I got the lease. Ended up working with Kash. He was great to work with and patient—test drove a few varieties of the Q50 and entertained a few options. Standard negotiations occurred until we all finally came to terms; much longer process then expected and again, Kash was patient, helpful, and stuck with us. Opted to finance thru the dealership after getting a desired interest rate. Discussed the lease return process; appeared to be straightforward and it was my understanding based on conversations had, that disposition fees and excess wear and tear (less than 30,000 miles on the car and they were telling me the wear on the front two tires was excessive) would be waived. I was, after all, purchasing a new INFINITI, through the same dealership nonetheless. Imagine my surprise when a few weeks later I receive my end of lease liability statement for ~$725. Called the INFINITI corporate number to inquire why I was receiving the bill even though I stuck with the INFINITI family—the individual we spoke to at the time was apologetic for the issue and said they had not yet received the paperwork of the sale from the dealership and the fees would be waived. Fast forward a week, and I still didn’t see the credit applied. Call them back where I hear a completely different story telling me since I didn’t finance through INFINITI, they could not waive the fees. Of course I’m surprised since I did all my financing through the dealership. Didn’t realize it was my fault the loan was sold by the dealership. If this was a direct result of opting for a lower interest rate (after they ran my credit 7 times), the trade off should have been made clear at that time. There was never any indication that a lower interest rate would equate to not receiving the waiver for the end of lease costs. Again, a huge reason of sticking with the same dealership was the waiver of this cost as a result of purchasing a vehicle in the same family. Call Ali the same day, leave a voicemail—no call back. Call the next day, leave another voicemail. Finally get a call back round 2:30pm the second day; seemed somewhat apologetic as he was off the day before, which I get. Explain the situation to him and he didn’t understand why I would be surprised by these fees, claiming that since I went with a lower interest rate for financing, these “perks” were no longer applicable. This was a complete surprise to me. We chat a little more and he says he will get in touch with his GSM then get back in touch with me. Still waiting to hear back from him, which isn’t much help since the due date of liability statement has passed. Not knowing how long it would be before they would decide to get back in touch with me, opted to make the payment so I wouldn’t go overdue. Amazing how quick they are to help when they are going to sell you something, but it’s crickets when you’re looking for some answers. For a dealership my Dad went to when I was growing up, I’m hard pressed to say I’ll come back when it comes time to purchase my next vehicle. I always felt they did a good job when it came to oil changes, tire rotations and general vehicle inspections, so I think those would be the only times I’ll be going back. More

Wouldn't ever purchase from Motorwerks again I buy a new car about once every 2 years, between for my wife and myself, sometimes more. I've literally purchased dozens of cars over the years, a I buy a new car about once every 2 years, between for my wife and myself, sometimes more. I've literally purchased dozens of cars over the years, at all types of dealerships. I purchased from independent dealers, and big luxury dealers. Motor Werks (Infinit) stands out as the worse. I first contacted them before making the >1hr drive out to make sure they had the vehicle I was interested in and ask a few questions. They were friendly, and gave me no reason not to go out. I made the hour plus drive out and met up with the salesman, Nathan. Shortly after, one of the managers met us in the lot, and informed me that they had just received the vehicle and hadn't reconditioned it. This was noteworthy, as the vehicle had multiple scratches and chips, including pretty severe front bumper damage and a large area of missing paint on the running board. I pointed all of this out immediately, and multiple times through the process. Each time they assured me it would all be taken care of. I voiced my pessimism, but was ultimately satisfied that they would honor their word. In hindsight, I should have been better clued in when I received a response of "Well, I mean, it is a used car" from Nathan. While it's true, it was also a 1.5 year old used car with a selling price well above most brand new cars on the U.S. market. Upon signing the final paperwork, I was presented with a paper to sign stating that they owed and promised nothing. There was not even a note about the paint, as we had discussed, nor mention of the cleaning they had never done. At my request, the vague note "Paint" was hand scrawled onto the form. Also at the final signing, we were "offered" extra coverages. I made it extremely clear from the onset that we were not even a little interested in any additional coverages. That didnt stop the explanation. The sales pitch went on for a minimum of 30 minutes, then presented again piece and parcel throughout the remainder of the process. It was painful how insistent he was that we just had to purchase something additional. So, finally, 5 hours later, we took the car home. I left on my business trip the next day. When I returned 5 days later, I called, as we had discussed, to make arrangements to drop off the car and pick up the rental. This is when i realized i had made a mistake. Their interest in pleasing the customer had already dropped by a factor of 10. Nathan, the salesman, did seem to want to help. However, "no rentals available" and "can you just come by and we'll do the work while you wait?" Is mostly what I was met with. I knew this work should take hours, so I knew they were already planning to cut corners. I had also mentioned to Nathan the Monday after the Saturday we purchased it that a speaker was blown and there were no headphones or remote for the entertainment center. He promised he'd take care of all of that, speaker being under warranty. Eventually, they agreed to bring a loaner to me the following Monday. At this point, we're 2 weeks post purchase. I was happy with the solution, unhappy it took so much effort and argument to get a solution. So, they pick up the car and bring it back 2 days later. They did an excellent job repairing the paint on the front bumper. The rest was mediocre or not done at all. This includes the running board with the large section of paint missing. I had mentioned this at the sale, and sent pictures, yet they didn't touch it. There are several scratches in the rear bumper and many other chips that went completely untouched. Speaker? Not replaced. Headphones? Nope. No remote either. Now I'm back on the phone with nathan, I started via text, which is mostly how we'd been communicating. Those started to be severely delayed or ignored completely. Over the course of many hours, nathan ended up telling me that he tried, but they won't do anything else. Not the speaker, not the running board, nothing. Completely and literally disgusted, I told him to send me a small bottle of touch up paint, along with the remote and headphones that were promised. He agreed. I did receive the items a few days later. The headphones and remote were old and not Infiniti branded. One headphone gives constant static, the other intermittent crackling. The speaker, still blown. I will never, absolutely ever, recommend any one to any motorwerks dealership. In fact, I've been asked already and highly recommended against. I'm happy that I've at least saved one friend who ended up elsewhere instead. He was very impressed with the whole experience there, as I've always been. 1 final comment. They had not paid off my trade in after 27 days, 7 days late than required by Illinois state law. I had to call, yet again, before they finally paid off my loan. Luckily, Infiniti finance understood the situation and allowed me an extra 5 days grace on my payment due while awaiting payment from Motorwerks. I've sent my contact info to Motorwerks, as requested, and have yet to hear from them. Will update accordingly if I do. More
