I traded in a vehicle to purchase a new truck. Andrew was helpful and made sure the deal got completed and even delivered the car to me. The issues came mostly after him, which id assume would be finance and or the higher ups. Took over a month for them to send information to DMV on the new vehicle. I also purchased a “warranty” they offer and was continuously told I would receive a brochure in the mail 3-4 weeks after purchase, I’m now almost 3 months past and still never received my brochure on the warranty. I reached out and was told a ram dealership will have your information, however it is a courtesy dealership warranty, so hoping I wasn’t lied to. Seems like it so far. More

I found a vehicle listed online and called the dealership. I first spoke with a sales manager named Eddie, who was pleasant, helpful, and very complimentary about the car. He described it as “imma dealership. I first spoke with a sales manager named Eddie, who was pleasant, helpful, and very complimentary about the car. He described it as “immaculate” and “pristine,” which gave me confidence and hope that this might be the right fit. Shortly after, I was contacted by Melissa from the sales team, who was also professional and kind. (I wasn’t able to have her as my sales consultant due to having another customer she was working with already) but Up to that point, everything felt promising. That changed once I arrived at the dealership and inspected the vehicle in person. While I understand that a car a few years old in Arizona may naturally have some rock chips, this car had multiple noticeable ones, along with an obvious repaint on the front bumper. The clear coat didn’t match, making it very evident that body work had been done. Calling the car “immaculate” was misleading. It didn’t completely deter me from considering the vehicle, but it was the first red flag. After a test drive that went well, I was ready to move forward with a trade-in. This is where the second red flag appeared. Eddie presented me with a trade-in value that was nearly $5,000 less than what four other local dealerships had already quoted me. When I reviewed the paperwork, I saw that he had entered my car as the lowest trim level, which explained the poor valuation. I pointed this out, but instead of correcting the mistake, he told me there was “no way to pick the correct model” in the system and pushed to stand by the lower value. This came across as either careless or intentionally misleading, and it put me in a worse negative equity position than expected. Even though he had two other documents that had the correct trim level listed. The final red flag came during the discussion of next steps. In my past experiences purchasing vehicles, dealerships have always asked about putting money down to help offset negative equity. Here, that question was never asked. Instead, I was simply asked if I “just wanted to buy the car anyway.” That’s not the kind of respectful, solution-focused conversation I expect — especially when I have excellent credit and a history of purchasing multiple vehicles. My situation was not about poor credit; it was about fair treatment and transparency. In the end, I left without making a deal. I was ready and willing to purchase today if I had been treated fairly and with respect. Instead, the misleading description of the car, the inaccurate trade valuation, and the lack of professionalism in handling my equity concerns cost this dealership a sale. I don’t hold a personal grudge against Eddie but I do feel the team could benefit from coaching on honesty, accuracy, and respect for customers. A dealership that works with integrity can build trust and long-term relationships. Unfortunately, my experience here did the opposite, and I lost confidence in doing business with them. More
