Completely unethical and deceptive — my name was added
to a car loan without my knowledge or consent.
I normally never write reviews, but what happened at Advantage Chevrolet of Bridgeview was shocking
to a car loan without my knowledge or consent.
I normally never write reviews, but what happened at Advantage Chevrolet of Bridgeview was shocking and unacceptable.
A manager from the dealership came to our home with paperwork and pressured my husband and me to sign “quickly” so we could secure a special interest rate. He never explained that I was being added as a signer or co-signer on the loan. He never gave us paperwork to review. He did not provide copies after signing. I was led to believe I was signing simple documents — not a legally binding loan.
I only found out my name was on the loan when the bank called me days later.
After asking for copies of the paperwork, we discovered:
The dealership added extra charges we never agreed to.
They did not apply the tax credit for the vehicle being traded.
They did not transfer the warranty we already paid for.
The interest rate promised (below 6%) was actually 8.79%.
Most importantly, I never agreed to be added to the financing, yet they still used my name.
When my husband went to the dealership to ask for answers, they yelled at him, insulted him, and even called the police instead of providing the paperwork.
This dealership engages in high-pressure tactics, misrepresentation, and unethical behavior, especially toward customers who trust them.
I advise anyone reading this: Protect yourself, ask for everything in writing, and avoid signing anything without full documentation. Our experience has been extremely stressful and unacceptable.
