This is my 2nd time dealing with Joe @ the service center. I arrived a little earlier than my 11am appt & he had my car taken in ASAP. Salerno-Duane Infiniti is not a stand-up business as they, and as most of their reviews, claim they are. My husband and I went to buy a new Grand Blue QX60 and Salerno-Duane told us they had it. We talk they, and as most of their reviews, claim they are. My husband and I went to buy a new Grand Blue QX60 and Salerno-Duane told us they had it. We talked to them first before driving over 2 hours away in the pouring rain, where Billy said, they would work with us with pricing especially since they had so many and we were coming all this way. Once we got there we were not treated as a valued customer. I have bought over 5 vehicles in my lifetime and my husband has bought more than that. Never have we ever been told that we had to put money down for a car, but couldn’t have the car until the bank sent them the money. We were already pre-approved through our bank. They wouldn’t come out and say it, but they inferred that if we financed through them, then we could take the car that day. They also said that they had done several transactions with our bank before, so how is it that they didn’t trust the bank. At least that is what the Manager, Mr. Tanero, informed us because the business doesn’t have an agreement with them. We went along and was told that we would get a call on Monday. Monday came and no one called. My husband texted the Sales Rep Billy, who said, “Yes, it’s pending, but their bank needs to receive it and clear it first.” We have never done business this way in buying a car and it wasn’t like we are trying rip anyone off. Not to mention we were putting 10 grand down payment along with a trade-in that valued at 10 grand, yet we had so much trouble with this dealership. Billy and Mr. Tanero were nasty over the phone and Mr. Tanero hung up on the bank rep because he was mad. We decided after getting the run around not to purchase the car. Is this really how Infiniti treats their customers? I would hope that the color of our skin had no part in this transaction, but at this point, I’m not sure that is the case. Billy, the sales Rep, said the money was sent and pending, yet we still couldn’t come and get the car. We already own an Infiniti and didn’t go through this the first time. We purchased one the same way, using the same bank, on a Friday night and left with the car. This whole interaction has been absolutely ridiculous. Infiniti has lost a long-term customer for good.
