Having done that many times for Lexus and BMW, however the Porsche Cayenne GTS I purchased from Bob at Walter's Porsche was my first time dealing with Porsche and I'm sure for many to come in the future. First, I've never bought a single car from just visiting one dealer and I did just that here. It goes without saying that this was one of the best and easiest shopping experience I've had in a long long time. I walked in for the first time and was immediately greeted by many friendly staff that directed me to the person I wanted to see - Bob McDonald, whom came highly recommended by a friend. With just a few exchange of words, we were already on the way out to test drive a Porsche. I was stunned by the ease of process here, what happened horror stories I read about having to wait for hours for someone to talk to you over at Beverly Hills or Newport Porsche. I probably threw over a hundred questions during the time I was there and Bob answered them without hesitation and I thought this brand ambassador really knows his stuff! I told him all of my concerns about wanting to do a European delivery and my very specific options list, most of the time when I bring this up, the sales will usually sway me away from doing that and push me to buy a car off the lot, but not Bob here, he simply replied "you are going to love the trip" That was when I knew this was the person and dealer I wanted to give my business to. I was then given an offer that I didn't even think twice about, I could probably spend countless more hours dealing with other dealers for a slightly better discount, I did not even bother. I simply didn't want to deal with anyone else. Who knew shopping for a Porsche could be so easy and painless? Even though the European Delivery did not happen due to other reason but I just picked up the car of my dream at Walter's and they have fulfilled every one of my special requests. If anyone is shopping for a Porsche, just come here and find Bob, you will not regret the drive. Not to mention they are moving to a brand new state of the art facility down the street. I can't wait to return and do all my service needs here and count me in for a future customer! More

It was a pleasure working with Bob and based on my experience with him I do not hesitate in recommending him highly to other potential purchasers of Porsche automobiles (in fact I think individuals would be disadvantaging themselves to use anyone else). Bob is friendly, very knowledgable regarding Porsche's, and took the time to answer all of my questions regarding Porsche's in general and the specific automobile that I was considering (and I am sure that I asked over 100 questions even though I stopped counting at 20:). Bob's answers were instrumental in helping me to make a decision and I had a lot of confidence in relying on his responses because he is a straight shooting guy. It was my sense that Bob is an individual who truly wants to help clients find the best car for their personal situation and not just what will make the dealership the most money. I noticed on Bob's business card that it says that he is a certified brand ambassador. When I first saw the title I thought it was a creative way of saying salesman but regardless of the origin I can’t think of a better way to describe Bob’s role in my experience at the dealership. My read is that Bob is a great guy who loves Porsche's and helps clients find the right car for themselves knowing that longer term relationships and reputation are more important than maximizing daily revenue. That is exactly the guy that I want to (and did) buy my car from. More

Bob McDonald is one of the most knowledgeable representatives I have ever dealt with. He has raced Porsches for over 20 years and owned a dealership of his own at one point. THE REST OF THE STORY There is great and OK elements on this three week followup. I bought a 2014 911 Turbo S with 350 miles on it. So in absolute terms it was used. Three weeks later I drove it in the rain and had several engine control failure lights come on. Ultimately the local Porsche dealer found pretty major pack rat damage that was revealed by water involvement. I spoke to Pete Laban who then investigated. Walters Porsche paid for the repair and a recertification inspection to make sure everything was perfect. Their willingness to perform after the sale speaks volumes about their professionalism. Bob disappeared after the sale but the dealership is superb, I suggested you use them for your next purchase in the first paragraph, now you have proof that they are a good choice. Scott McCloud is my main contact and he is awesome. He helped me figure out my options when I was approaching lease end. I recommend Walters over the other dealerships in the area for people who live in OC. The drive isn't that bad if you time it right. And they are more willing to work with you on price and other matters. I've also met Bob, Jason, Justin and Scott and they are all good guys too. More

I recently purchased my 2nd 911 (actually a new 991 4S) 33 years after selling the first. Since 1991 I have owned several BMW M cars which I've always modified slightly and known Bob as a neighbor and golf 33 years after selling the first. We've always talked cars and Bob is as knowledgeable as they come having raced, serviced and sold cars but I appreciated the fact he never tried to sell me. Disenchanted with current BMWs I put a deposit down on an Audi RS7 anticipating a high-performance comfortable vehicle. After several months of non-response to my questions about minor modifications (custom wheels and paint, financing, etc. I read several internet reviews on the everyday civility of the Porsche 911 Turbo. I called Bob for the real deal and was invited to Walter's Porsche to drive one and see for myself. I drove to Walter's in my Range Rover Sport, got into the Turbo and drove it until I was satisfied with the feel. After that Bob arranged for me to drive an Audi A7 from Walter's Audi dealership next door. Undecided I left to think about. Bob suggested I come back and try the 991 Carrera S with the 4" longer wheelbase. That sealed the deal. I cancelled the RS7 order and after some dicussion decided on the 991 Carrera 4S which I took delivery of on November 29, 2013. Bob obviously listened to my questions, he not only knew the options list off the top of his head (no mean feat when a Porsche is involved) but he actually saved me from several impractical options. Bob went out of his way to answer my questions, Walter's made me a great deal and the financing aspect was as efficient as it could be. Overall it was like night and day, the best folks to do business with. On top of that I was so impressed with the Porsche that I sold my 2008 Range Rover and bought a used 2011 Cayenne. Bob advised me on that and with Richard in Walter's Parts Dept guided me through the installation of an aerokit on a vehicle Walter's didn't sell me!! This is why I recommend Bob McDonald and Walter's Porsche. More
