My name is Carl Helm. I was born in Martin Tennessee and moved to south Alabama when I was a very young. I started my career directly after school when I was 20 years old. I worked for the local Toyota Dealership in Daphne Alabama for 13 years. I was a saleperson for 7 of those years before I worked my way into management. After a couple years as a sales manager, I worked my way up to General Sales Manager and have been at that position ever since. Most of my success has came from teaching the sales staff to "Make Friends, Not Customers. Its been the dealers motto ever since I came into management. I moved back to Tennessee in 2019 to continue growing on my career. I started here at Hyundai of Cool Springs and have put together an amazing team here at the dealership. Jay was absolutely fantastic! This was my first time leasing a car and he went above and beyond to make sure I got the best car and offer for me. He was really knowledgeable of the inventory and what wo leasing a car and he went above and beyond to make sure I got the best car and offer for me. He was really knowledgeable of the inventory and what would fit best for me. I had the best, seamless experience. I ended up getting the PERFECT car for me - and the deal was incomparable! He spent time in his busy day to make sure everything went through and I could walk away with the car of my dreams that day. He also spent a lot of time showing me all the details of the car, the features and how they worked. I couldn’t be more grateful for the service I received from him on my first car leasing experience. Everyone involved was really helpful, patient and professional. Chad helped me in the finance office and was great helping me navigate the final steps. Chad, from a manager standpoint, helped me get this car with a deal I could never refuse. This was one of the best days of my life because of the service and being able to walk away with a car I absolutely love. Thank you Jay and all all involved!! More

I recently purchased a new vehicle from Hyundai of Cool Springs and went in to pick up my license plate. As I spoke to Carl the Sales manager, the finance manager rudely interrupted and addressed me in a Springs and went in to pick up my license plate. As I spoke to Carl the Sales manager, the finance manager rudely interrupted and addressed me in a condecondescending tone. I paid cash for the car and turned to him and said that I was happy that I did not have to deal with him. He replied that he was happy he did not have to deal with me and went on blubbering in a totally inappropriate way. He refused to give me a business card. I asked the manager who I would file a complaint to and he said that would be him. The finance guy then proceeded to sneer at me and laughed, noting that they were buddies. The manager never apologized for the behavior. BAD BUSINESS! Completely intolerable. More
