My sales professional at Paramount Hyundai of Hickory was Karrie Powell, and she exceeded every expectation I could possibly imagine for a new vehicle purchase! My weekly work schedule precludes most "in person" interaction with the dealership, except on weekends. Since the dealership is closed on Sunday... Karrie had to "jump through a lot of hoops" to get the preliminary work done throughout the week, to ensure my transaction was successfully conducted & concluded on a Saturday. Karrie sent two charming, very descriptive videos of a Tucson & Santa Fe for me to review and compare. I selected the Santa Fe, as both models were in the same price range and both had the same size engine. That being the case... I went for the additional space! I've been a "fan" of Hyundai vehicles for years, primarily because of their focus on quality & customer satisfaction. This is my THIRD Hyundai purchase, and ALL THREE have been through Paramount Hyundai. If you're considering a new or used vehicle purchase... Hyundai should be first and foremost among your considerations! In the "growth cycle of a business"... Hyundai is still in the "growth phase". They have a FIFTY YEAR BUSINESS PLAN, and intend to become the world's number one car manufacturer. As mentioned previously... they plan to do this primarily through emphasis on quality & customer satisfaction. If you want the best "bang for your buck"... Hyundai -or- Genesis are the brands you should be considering! My interaction with Karrie Powell & Allen Queen in getting this deal done in a timely fashion was one of the best vehicle purchase experiences I've ever had. Peruse their vehicles online, and if you see something you're interested in... reach out to Karrie Powell! [You won't regret it!!] She will take your needs, wants, & desires into consideration, while helping you consider which vehicle is best for you and your budget. You can do me a favor as well, by mentioning this review as a strong reason you've selected Paramount Hyundai of Hickory, and Karrie Powell as your preferred sales professional. We purchased a new 2019 Sonata. In 2020, we started getting an error about the hybrid systems. We took it to the dealership in Valdese multiple times. They informed us nothing was wrong. The car starte getting an error about the hybrid systems. We took it to the dealership in Valdese multiple times. They informed us nothing was wrong. The car started stalling and having further trouble. After taking to the sister dealership in Hickory, the hybrid pump had been bad the whole time. It was barely found in time to be covered by warranty. Almost as they were trying to wait until it was not to inform us it needed to be replaced. Wednesday, February 10th,2021, the car was taken in for service and preventive belt replacements. The service department was told the car was making an odd noise and was vibrating when pressure was applied to the gas pedal. They said it was just a little low on oil and nothing was wrong with the car. That afternoon the car broke down. We were told while on the phone trying to get service and a tow that it had to be a misfiring piston. It was a hole in the engine block. Later told the noise we were hearing and the vibration must have been something. It was as though they did not even attempt to look, or they were trying to out last the warranty to be able to charge more for parts and labor than the contract with the manufacturer provides. The constant timing of requested warranty covered repairs be missed when the warranty is close to expiration does not seem to be accident. More
