Seth and the rest of the sales group were helpful in helping me find a car. But, I almost left without a purchase when dealing with the finance settlement. In the finance department with Charlie, the helping me find a car. But, I almost left without a purchase when dealing with the finance settlement. In the finance department with Charlie, there was the typical upselling and high interest rate, annoying but expected. Luckily I had financing already approved and knew my rate ahead of time. Where i really had an issue were the extra, sneaky charges I had to find on my own. Things like an undiscussed package of oil changes and very expensive GAP insurance. Where i almost walked out the door though, was a $999 charge that was never explained. When requested these charges were removed, but definitely left me questioning how much I could trust the company I was working with! All together, these would add thousands to the purchase cost with little benefit. More

Overall a pretty good experience, however they do try to play the add on game and add additional costs to the vehicle without being totally forthcoming, so watch out for additional charges such as wheel loc play the add on game and add additional costs to the vehicle without being totally forthcoming, so watch out for additional charges such as wheel locks, paint protection, interior protection and vehicle etching, which is supposed to be a theft deterrent. Our complete buying experience took close to 10 hours over two days, which I think is a bit excessive. The dealership did not seem to be very knowledgeable about the features on my new vehicle and therefore I was not really shown how to use the extensive list of options on our Genesis GV80, even though this is a Kia dealership and Genesis is Kia’s high end line. Our salesman, Michael was nice and polite, but again didn’t seem that knowledgeable on our specific vehicle. He left the dealership when I was taking delivery of my car and I had to go around talking to the Used Car Manager and other employees to figure out questions that I had. My trade in had been moved from the front of the building to a rear lot, before I was able to clear out all of my belongings. After 5 minutes of looking for the car it was finally located and then I had to go find the keys, because it was locked. A lot attendant or whoever moved the car apparently decided that my cigarettes and lighter were now there property and even after waiting about 15 minutes for several employees to go around looking for them, they were never found. Thankfully one of the service guys was nice enough to hand me $20 out of his own pocket to correct the problem. They also did a horrible job of cleaning up the interior and exterior of the vehicle. This is a pretty high end vehicle and I would expect it to be spotless after just spending around $40,000 for a used car. The engine compartment is filthy along with the interior of the car. On the inside they did a quick vacuum and that was it. There was food, crumbs and other nasty stuff all over the interior of the vehicle. The dashboard, seats, floor mats and rear cargo areas were all left in dirty condition and in my opinion in subpar condition to be delivered to a customer.The headliner was extremely dirty and no attempt was ever made to clean any of it up. I should’ve been excited when I got home with my new to me vehicle, but I was frustrated that I had to spend time cleaning it. Even the windows, including the windshield were all dirty and covered with a grease like film. The exterior of the car had been washed, but it still looked dirty. When I mentioned it to them, they just said that their car wash sucked. They had just gotten the car on the lot when I first went to look at it and it seems to me that once they knew that I was going to buy it that they had no further obligations to properly clean it like they normally would to put on the lot. Xavier was awesome! He was the Rock and orchestrator of a special situation I had in being able to buy our new car. My wife had major surgery’s that caused me to take a dental from my job to give her 24/7 care. It was very hard for us, God let us have savings built up to make it thru, however, not everyone got paid for bills due to high medical and RX bills made us have to redirect. Xavier, Charlie and Ben saw through the business side of things and leaned on the human side. They helped me make a lady who has gone thru xxxx and back the last 2 years, smile and cry when Cavier delivers our car on a Saturday. What a life moment that only happens far not enough in this world we live. The guys went the extra distance! You can believe and trust in Xavier, Ben and Charlie to make your dreams come true, even when you think they are bleak. Great job to the Russ Darrow Waukesha KIA family. 5 star group!
