A few weeks go by and we are told that capital needs documents. After giving documents they told us everything was fine again. Capital then pulled my credit again which I was not told was going to happen and then a few days went by and we were told we needed more documents again. We returned the truck. However why would you go about a tactic way to see if we can eventually get approved if we are not approved. I work for a bank I know how the lending works. You know if we would be approved or not that same day. Instead you made us believe and signed all docs twice ran my credit twice that dinged me big time all for us to return the truck. That's very poor on the finance part. We were also told it was not there fault that it was ours. Chris however whom originally helped was great. The finance people are not. More

I texted back and forth and they confirmed a manager locked in a price. We set an appointment time and drove 2 hours toward Kia Cape Coral. The trip was about 3 hours but once we were less than 1 hour locked in a price. We set an appointment time and drove 2 hours toward Kia Cape Coral. The trip was about 3 hours but once we were less than 1 hour away we got a call the vehicle had a check engine light on and was not able to be viewed as it was in service. We asked what was wrong with the vehicle and were not given an answer. This was for a used suv that was less than 2 years old. After several more back and forth for a few days we were told several different stories. Ultimately they said the vehicle did not have a check engine light on and was just routine service. We then returned a week later and when we got there they came out with the price sheet and they were now quoting several add ons to bump the price up about $3k more than we agreed on before even factoring in the dealer fees that were another $2k more also that I was told would be waived. I was told the price plus tax and tag/title is all it would be, but was presented the same negotiated price plus tag/title and then $2k warranty, $600 in dealer installed options, and another $1200 in dealer fees. All told it increased the price about $4k over what we were told. The salesperson brought out a manager named Steve who we had never spoken to before and tried to tell us that that quoted price was not accurate and they had to add on these fees. I produced the text showing the price and there was a lot of back and forth. There was an extended warranty/service agreement for $2k and added on tint and wheel locks for another $600. I said I didn’t want any of those items and they pushed they were all required and the tint and wheel locks the service department had installed so they couldn’t remove that now. Only after we threatened to walk and go to another dealer did they waive the $2k in warranty add on and kept all the other charges. When we went to leave we noted that the wheel locks were not installed and the tint was not new. That we were lied to. This was after we had the keys and were about to leave. The salesperson said he would talk to their manager and see about reimbursement or compensation but they did not even have the locks in stock so it was a clear failure on their part. After two more weeks of back and forth with the salesperson I finally spoke to someone that could help. Kathryn Haenn was the only saving grace and she talked to me like a person and made it right. After a couple days she got the approval for the reimbursement of the tint and locks. Albeit the check didn’t include the sales tax on those items so it was still short but I was too tired to go back and complain more at this point. The vehicle we have had no issues with. But the whole sales transaction should have been straight forward and quick and it took about 6 hours and dragged out for 2 weeks past to even get partial refunded for items we paid for and never got at time of sale. We were not going to drive 6 hours round trip again for them to make it right. We also had a terrible experience with finance. We had a pre-approval from our bank but we were told we had to use their in house financing with a near double interest rate. 7% instead of 4%. They also limited our down payment to 10k when we wanted to put more down for a lower monthly payment. Because of this we refinanced the deal already with our original lender. The finance manager told us we could try to do that but likely had to wait a few months which apparently is not true. I hate buying cars and this was way more difficult than it needed to be. More
