Horrible Experience This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Selected the vehicle which was at another lot..they brought it over so I could test drive, n This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Selected the vehicle which was at another lot..they brought it over so I could test drive, noticed it had scratches all over it. Salesman said if they could fix it did they have a deal? I said yes but only if it was color corrected not just buffed over for a temporary fix and the 2 key fobs as well. They agreed to this..a week later he called and said they just buffed it out, it would be too expensive to fix! I advised no deal then, he talked to manager and assured me they would paint correct it. I waited another week and went to look at car and nothing was fixed. Salesman said it was fixed even though scratches were all visible! Paint specialist came out and said he wasn't given permission to do the real job but he would do it this time. Asked about the key fobs and was told that wasn't part of the deal, even though I had texts from salesman advising he was going to pick them up! Went back for a 3rd time...some of the scratches were gone but replaced with buffer marks! I received the 2nd key fob but ended up making another payment on my trade in so I basically paid for the 2nd fob anyway. Terrible experience, basically they accused me of lying..will never buy here again!! More

BEYOND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I bought a 2014 Tiguan R-Line 4 Motion from Dean Team Kirkwood, which John Townsend was my salesman. It looked like a beautiful car, low milage, no ac I bought a 2014 Tiguan R-Line 4 Motion from Dean Team Kirkwood, which John Townsend was my salesman. It looked like a beautiful car, low milage, no accidents, couldnt be happier. Figuring that I am also buying a Volkswagen from a Volkswagen dealership and not your typical discount XYZ car dealership, I would be in good hands with the car being looked over and in good shape before it leaves the lot. John Townsend assured me the car was looked over and all good to go. It was not!!! After driving it 475 miles to Wisconsin to visit family, which I was showing them all the features on the car. When I turned on the car, it started SMOKING! The fog light assembly was busted and the bulb popped out burning a hole through my bumper. I was informed by my mechanic it must have been out since the time of the purchase. My cabin filter was filthy and needed to be replaced, my brake pads need replacing, my tires are bald in the middle and I was curious why they were louder then normal. The car was NOT looked at properly. When I flew from Oklahoma City to St Louis to pick up the car, I counted $7,000 cash for a down payment in front of John Townsend on his desk. I asked if he wanted to recount it to be sure and he said "No, we're good. I saw it" and leaves to his managers office. He comes back shortly later and says "Oh, well we are $100 short" and takes a $100 bill from my money pile sitting on top of my bank envelope in front of me on his desk and says "i'll be right back". Me being dazed and confused about the situation, I shuttered it off for the moment and gave it a few days to think about what just happened and process everything that happened. Whether I really was $100 short or if John Townsend pocketed my extra $100, i honestly do not know. I was also promised by John Townsend that because Im already getting a military discount, they could not lower the price any further, not even $50. John assured me though that I would get a free t-shirt or souvenir which apparently he meant swag bags which are for new car purchases only, not used. I'm still waiting on a T-shirt to be mailed to me. I called the general manager Collin Burns about my concerns and shortly afterwards John Townsend calls me on his mobile phone on a serious rampage YELLING AT ME, dropping F bombs and all sorts of profanity, he threatened me to never blame him for theft as he does not do that and was extremely demanding. I suffer from anxiety and after that call, I was in distress and having anxiety attacks for the rest of the day. While it seems like everyone else had a good experience with John Townsend, I certainly did not. I feel like I got used, treated unfairly and I would definitely not back to John Townsend or this dealership ever again. I am already getting in touch with my attorney if legal action should be taken. More

Excellent Experience I just purchased a used Volkswagen from the DeanTeam in Kirkwood, MO. I give this dearlership a high rating due mostly to Dave Schultz. I was reluctant to go out of state for a vehicle, but found the one I purchased through CarGurus. After talking with Dave, I was assured the process would be minimal. When I was finally able to make the trip from Springfield, IL and called to meet with Dave, I was told it was his day off. He quickly called me back and kindly agreed to meet me at the dealership. Dave greeted me punctually, friendly, and was very helpful! I appreciate that he came in on his day off to serve me. More

Down-to-earth friendly! I was distraught when I came into this dealership from another local dealership, of which was a giant let down. "Pinky" the sales fella sensed this right away and stepped up to the plate...ready. I knew what I wanted and he was diligent in helping me gather all my options. I was able to make an informed decision and stay within by strict budget. Colin, the serious-faced, but personable manager was patient and worked well with my many, many, many inquiries. Keith, the mellow family man, researched APR options and found me an even lower one at signing. I was given a great trade-in price and several options for model types within the Dean Team lots. When it was all finally said and done, the entire team definitely earned their money. I truly look forward to my purchase and the many miles we will make together because of the great start with the Dream Team at Dean Team! More

They sell factory buyback "LEMONS" W/O Disclosure My wife and I told we were buying a practically new vehicle were the original owner "upgraded" their lease, this was the first of many lies and decept My wife and I told we were buying a practically new vehicle were the original owner "upgraded" their lease, this was the first of many lies and deceptive practices this "business" committed. Fast forward three years later when we attempted to trade the vehicle in at a Dean Team affiliate dealership, when we were informed for the first time that the 2013 Tiguan we purchased was a manufacture buyback "LEMON" that had a branded title. After going over the paperwork, I found that Dean Team Volkswagen Kirkwood only disclosed that our vehicle was purchased at a wholesale auction on the vehicle prior history form, and that its true manufacture buyback history was fraudulently withheld. When I went to speak with the dealership I was only met with unprofessional hostility, confrontation and a total lack of accountability for their wrong doing. I will never do any form of business with a Dean Team business ever again. More

Great working with Reece Gayden Reece never gave up on trying to get me a new car deal. I had a bad experience with my new GTI 2015. No one at the dean team could fix the problem a Reece never gave up on trying to get me a new car deal. I had a bad experience with my new GTI 2015. No one at the dean team could fix the problem after two months being in the shop. Reece knew I liked the GTI as I had a 2006 model I traded in last year so I knew the car. He didn't let this bad experience go. I walked away one time and sure enough, the next night I had a call from him wanting to get a deal worked out. He kept plugging away for me with a smile and a good word even though I probably wasn't the happiest with How VW handled my 2015 GTI. I have to say, Reece was a great experience and if I do buy another car, I hope that sales person is like him! More
