To preface this, I live approx 1hr south of the dealership where Hurricane Ian ate one vehicle and damaged another. Needless to say our ability to drive an hr each way and spend long periods of t dealership where Hurricane Ian ate one vehicle and damaged another. Needless to say our ability to drive an hr each way and spend long periods of time were limited to understate my (still current) situation. I wanted a CPO because "supposedly " Lexus has the BEST warranty and customer service available...Not my experience so far. I initially tried for roughly 2 weeks to do an online purchase and have the vehicle delivered. I didn't want to or honestly have the time to go up there. Needless to say we had to go so in person. Told Eric be there between 9 and 10. Got there right at 930. We have to move fast. Wife was coming with, we need to see everything, her sign, and I had enough time to finalize and stay longer...on top of everything at the house, school had recently started back up and that weekend was both sons 1st Homecoming weekend, plus the other is a soccer referee for our county and had HS soccer practice. I'll admit I forgot to bring the plates from the totaled car to use which would have increased total time, and a couple ppl were kind enough to come out for a handshake. They "couldn't " do anything to move faster. I offered to let them deliver it or think of something. Nope. Fine, couple hours and scrambling on our part got soccer squared away. But the 30 minute we blocked off turned into almost noon for her. Kenny was nice but everything was on a tablet (slick move fyi, can't take documents and review on own) and I'll take ownership of it was my choice to sign, but a recission agreement? Some of the fees? I'm kicking myself for signing but thought "hey solid car great warranty safe for family " so bite the bullet. This is Saturday. Monday (remember what shape Charlotte county is in) is taking my son to the Dr. and has flat tire. Calls me i tell her call lexus Roadside, sure they can help. Nope, warranty shown as expired and their Advantage plan they charged me thousands for? Need a registration number for. That's something I still don't have today. Thank God we had Roadside from State farm because talked on phone to multiple ppl but would've left her stranded. I came switched cars with her and waited for state farm Roadside to get there 2 hrs later to get it where I can take home. Was assured by multiple people that they'd get it all taken care of next morning and we wouldn't be inconvenienced at all, even offered a loaner. Yeah next day guy comes without loaner, takes rim and tire and says should just be a couple hrs, he'll be back. Now this thing has a donut on it and I had stuff to do. Told everyone I need to be mobile I thought I'd get loaner or tire or whatever, just that I wouldn't be inconvenienced. I was. I find out around DINNER time..they want to charge me 423 for a tire. I flipped out I admit, but tell me one of you who wouldn't. They're LUCKY I signed that d**m recission agreement. This is now almost Thursday morning as I write this. After Daryl and I had a somewhat confrontational conversation because I'm ready to fight this all the way (I'm a former Marine...we all liked bit of confrontation! No profanity just a lot of Im leaving bad reviews and such Lol 😅) I did apologize for losing my cool, he did then offer to split the cost with me if I could find it cheaper (again more of my time needed but whatever ok...) found it for 270 off tire rack with my military discount, and place to install. But I started reading through everything (still not done) and between this wonderful Advantage plan (I get tire is road hazard, but come on) the collision benefit, 2 roadsides between that and L/certified, etc and as a FIRST TIME BRAND NEW LEXUS OWNER 3 DAYS IN I feel like they're nickel and diming me to death. I did inform them keep their half a tire offer today. Because I felt I'd be taking that money under false pretenses. I've had to be the proactive one to reach out or bend every step of the process. We typically buy Mercedes before this, and they can be problematic on reliability, which with 2 15 yr old twin boys about to start driving I wanted the best. One thing though..over the course of yrs...ive had ONE experience with Mercedes almost this bad, and that was after many positive resolutions. They managed it on the 1st try and don't care. I had my (still blown) tire and rim dropped back off. I will say thank you to them for not making me have to drive up to get it... Congratulations, they have succeeded in showing me that I should've stuck with Mercedes! Oh, and all the stuff for the Advantage you're supposed to get? Like welcome package with whatever the car care stuff is etc..still haven't seen any of that. Got a old Lexus trapper keeper style folder with some paperwork and instead of them providing me solutions or making my life better have done nothing but give me more and make it more difficult. Soon as I get everything I'm taking this straight to the mercedes dealership and asking them to help me get out of it. I took ownership, buyer beware, etc. I admit that. Really hope they did everything right on their paperwork on that thumbdrive. We'll see I guess. Fyi, I'm copying and pasting this on Google, and I'll be sending to corporate Lexus and Morgan auto group, but at this point I have low expectations for positive feedback or outcome. I will update this review accordingly if something changes. More
