I recently visited Hyundai of Asheville (Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC) for oil change service and had for a second time a bad experience with Fred Retzlaff. After declining additional services—which I didn’t ask for or want—his attitude noticeably changed. He responded dismissively, and as I declined items again, he laughed aloud at me while walking away. This mockery made the interaction deeply uncomfortable and unprofessional. It’s disappointing, especially given how many other customers report courteous and respectful service at this dealership . Unfortunately, my experience with Fred Retzlaff was entirely contrary to that reputation. I hope Hyundai leadership addresses this behavior—customer service should never feel punitive or mocking. I will not return and can’t recommend this particular advisor. More

It was a bit disappointing. The bill to fix my car was $6,000 dollars. I cannot afford that now. I'm a single school teacher. In the past when I have gone there, it was not as expensive. Something just didn't feel right this time. There were 5 employees standing behind the counter just hanging out. It was bizarre. To replace one light on my Hyundai, the cost was over 900 dollars. It was unbelievable. I'm not sure if they are not getting a lot of business, and they have had to raise their prices???? I was always thinking that I would go to this Hyundai dealership to purchase my next car. But now I have mixed feelings. I asked if it was worth it to purchase a new or used car, or to fix this car. But I didn't receive any response to that question. I would have liked it if they would have spoken to me about trade ins or purchasing a used or new Hyundai. But not one of the 5 employees hanging around and eating their McDonald's behind the counter even acknowledged me and my question. It was bizzare and off putting. I ended up leaving with my car because I did not have $6,000 to pay for the repairs. I ended up paying almost $200.00 for the diagnostic test. More
