On June 12, 2026, I was stopped by law enforcement in Washington, DC and informed that the temporary tags issued with my vehicle were not valid in the DMV system. I was further informed that the tag seri Washington, DC and informed that the temporary tags issued with my vehicle were not valid in the DMV system. I was further informed that the tag series displayed on the vehicle was associated with a previous year and was not recognized as valid. As a result, my vehicle was impounded and towed. I have video evidence of the police officer explaining the reason for the impound, towing documentation, photographs, and other supporting evidence. Although the dealership later assisted in resolving the issue and paid the towing charges required for the vehicle’s release, this incident caused significant inconvenience, lost work time, transportation disruption, stress, and potential legal consequences through no fault of my own. I am requesting a formal review of this matter and a written explanation regarding how invalid temporary tags were issued with my vehicle.
