This place tried to force me to give a credit application even though I was a cash buyer. They said it was a requirement of theirs to buy a car. Then I was lied to and given the run around because i wanted t even though I was a cash buyer. They said it was a requirement of theirs to buy a car. Then I was lied to and given the run around because i wanted to buy the car but wouldn’t give any credit info. Only thing I can guess is they wanted to make money on the financing. These places are allowed to add 2 points to your interest rate when you finance with a lender through them. So if your Capital One approval is for 5.9% they can come back and tell you it’s 7.9% and keep the difference. And that can be $20 a month in car payment per each percentage point. So they add $40 to your monthly bill. I don’t know too many people who are ok adding $40 to their monthly bills for fun. I’d go elsewhere. More

Meanwhile I am told by multiple sales guys there that the car was still available and that the sales manager (if we can call him that) Dennis is trying to work a deal on it with a customer from the night before. Called him and he said he was waiting on her parents to come in and try and co-sign. I said ok, I’ll go ahead and take it and give you the financing as well. He told me he wouldn’t sell it to me at their asking price and that he was waiting for her parents to come in later that day and co-sign for her. He lied to me numerous times, hung up on me 4 times, tried to say he was the general manager when I knew he was just the manager behind the pencil desk before he says oh yeah yeah, Dennis, I’ll transfer you to him. Sit on hold for forever before I finally call back and ask for Dennis and the lady sends me straight over to his phone. So this guy is playing games with me even. Left a message because the general store manager wasn’t in. This place is crooked. Won’t sell you a vehicle on their lot available for sale for their asking price because they are trying to get more out of the deal. Calling their oversight department as well to report they are not selling vehicles that are in their inventory in an attempt to get a better deal from an other buyer. Run far away, and keep running. Do not trust a word that they say. And this is a game to them. More

Ladies come knowledgeable or with someone. I was selling my car and scheduled a visit with Koons Annapolis after gaining a quote from Kelly Blue Book. This was the fifth dealership I met with I was selling my car and scheduled a visit with Koons Annapolis after gaining a quote from Kelly Blue Book. This was the fifth dealership I met with this week, including another Koons and the dealership where I bought the vehicle and regularly had it serviced. Shopping around for a the best offer. The sales manager took my car and returned much quicker than any previous sales manager I experience, and came back reporting my engine was burning oil and therefor my car was worthless. Offered $1,000 to take it off my hands. This obviously alarmed me as it was news to me. I was not in the habit of replenishing my oil and no other agent reported a problem, including the dealership I frequently get service. Had I been losing oil and not noticed?! I inspected the vehicle with the sales manager and sure enough faint smoke that smelled like burning oil was coming front the tailpipe. Without much more conversation, I immediately opened the hood and check the dipstick for oil level. The oil level was fine, no visible leaks, no check engine lights, etc. I shared with the sales manager that this was odd given the number of other dealerships I’ve already met with. I walked away from his offer, but was really unsettled. I pulled into a parking lot nearby to look at my car one more time. After taking a closer look at my tailpipe there was fresh oil on it.I informed the dealership of my experience. They assured they would look into the incident and check the cameras. To anyone reading this, I would be concerned about Yahweh practices at this dealership. More

We got our car in Aug 2020, our car has been in the shop on and off since the day we got it. First it was the turbo that would shoot the Check Engine light on, so that means that they would scan the car and on and off since the day we got it. First it was the turbo that would shoot the Check Engine light on, so that means that they would scan the car and erase the code. No one took us seriously and we had to get other people get involved. It's now end of April of 2021 and we still have to take it. More

FRAUD! Check behind to make sure completed what was billed I was told by the sales representative that if I purchased the premium warranty on my factory certified 2015 xse Camry when I purchased it last Thanks I was told by the sales representative that if I purchased the premium warranty on my factory certified 2015 xse Camry when I purchased it last Thanksgiving 18, that for the next three years all I would have to do is pay for gas, tires and brakes. So when I got home from a business trip Memorial Day weekend to find 2" of standing water in the bottom of the car, mold growing on the carpets, on the suede and leather seats, even mildew on the ceiling, and their service department told me the evaporator drain was clogged but I was responsible for the $3,600 in damages and I needed to file a claim with my insurance, I was not happy. Nor was I happy with the work that they did, the seats weren't put back correctly the trim wasn't put on correctly and the car still smelled like mildew when I picked it up on June 25th, the smell never went away. On July 23rd, (3 1/2 weeks later) I found standing water under the seat again, and I brought it right back to Koons Toyota. This time the service department says that the evaporator box is cracked, and it's a new leak, completely unrelated, and I need to file another insurance claim to fix the new water damage. I'm pretty sure no one in their right mind is going to believe that only 7 months after purchasing a factory certified Toyota with 50K miles on it that two completely unrelated leaks occurred in the same exact part of the car, three weeks apart from each other, and both flooded the car with water. So far the dealership is saying it's not their responsibility to fix. Everyone else I've talked to about this including 3 USAA adjusters and Toyota corporate thinks they misdiagnosed the problem in the first place, or at the very least missed the cracked evaporator box, and should be responsible for the damages, but the dealership is refusing to fix it. But that's not the worst part. At the beginning of the first (month long) water damage repair, they were also supposed to change the oil, rotate the tires and patch a nail I had in my back right tire, as part of the 60K mile certified / warranty maintenance agreement. The paperwork I took with me on June 25 stated that they patched the tire, rotated the tires, and changed the oil . But when I went to drive it off the lot, my back right tire was still low. So though the paperwork explicitly stated they had patched the tire and changed the oil, they had done neither. In fact, the nail was in the sidewall, so it could not have been patched. It had to be replaced instead. Then the service advisor thought to check the oil to make sure it had been changed, and it was black. It's not the first time that they have failed to rotate the tires, but I didn't think to look to make sure the oil had been changed on other visits. I never thought I would have to check over a Toyota dealership's work. I don't know if they changed the oil in that car once in any of the 3 times I brought it there, other than after I caught them. It would be one thing if they forgot, but the paperwork clearly stated the work had been done, and I have been trusting that paperwork. If the sidewall had blown out on the highway it could have killed me, my family, or somebody else on the road if I hadn't realized that tire wasn't rotated. 2 days later I was due to drive 600 miles to Lake Erie and back. That's not just abysmal service. That's complete negligence. Please heed my warning. You don't want to lose your time and especially your money chasing them down trying to get them to complete repairs, be out 24K so far like I am, or worse lose a family member because they didn't complete something you counted on in order to be safe on the road. Just go somewhere else. I sure wish I had. I wouldn't trust Koons Toyota of Annapolis with anything valuable, let alone the investment you are making in your future. I can't be the only person this has happened to either. More

Koon's Annapolis Talk about painless! I couldn’t be happier with my Koon’s of Annapolis auto purchase. My salesman Rich Gallena found the perfect auto to fit my needs Talk about painless! I couldn’t be happier with my Koon’s of Annapolis auto purchase. My salesman Rich Gallena found the perfect auto to fit my needs. He was knowledgeable & made me feel like it was a more of a personal experience. He took me through the process in a positive manner which took the stress away that I was feeling upon by arrival. I needed some questions answered by the Sales Manager, Dennis Weaver & once again, my questions were answered in a very professional manner. I am close to retirement & I must say, of all the dealerships I’ve dealt with Koon’s of Annapolis was by far the most professional group I have ever had the pleasure of purchasing a vehicle from. I want to thank all of you & once again, I love my new car! More
