Found Mike and Doug on google, made the process extremely easy for me as I am from New York. Figured out a deal within a day and picked it up the next Monday. Still waiting on the title after receiving an undriveable car. Bought the VW tiguan from the dealership out of state based on the reviews and recommendations. Doug the salesperson was good but some communication issues with John Thomas Smith in accounts. Not a big issue si far just inconvenient with trying to schedule things. Doug told me they tested the car all was running fine but there were check engine lights on the mechanics couldnt figure out why. Having an audi I'm familiar with check lights on but needing to be run out. Car arrived and didnt run. Doug was good, said take it to a mechanic we will pay for whatever repair as this isnt how we do business etc. Mechanic told me it was a burst seal and it would be appx $3200 to fix. Called to tell doug but he was out sick so let John Thomas Smith know. He said this was out of his pay grade but that doug shouldnt have said that. After much concern and back and forth got a condescending email that I bought the vw as is. I agreed to a running vehicle with check engine lights not undriveable. Was told that was one of the lights. The light mentioned was for an exhaust manifold not the burst crankshaft seal. Had to get to the gm Mike DeSalvo. He clearly passed it back to John Thomas Smith who issued a $1,016 check. This didnt cover the $3191.58 of repairs. Ate it out of frustration by this point as I bought it 9/11/21 and this was now October. Got my paperwork together to register the now working car, no title. John Thomas Smith said he would check, turns out didnt send it and needed my social. Fine, then asked when I would receive it. On a Tuesday he said earliest Friday, but by Tuesday. Reached out Friday, no response. Reached out Tuesday no response. Checked the Ohio bmv site, title still in the dealers name. Called that Thursday to speak with Mike Desalvo the gm. He said I would get it the next day Friday, or the day after Saturday 10/23. Its now Monday 10/25/21 still no title after paying for the car on 9/11/21. Only plus side is it's a nice car now that it works. More

On October 7th, I was traveling from Michigan to Massachusetts on the Ohio Turnpike in my 2020 Stelvio when my tire was punctured. The "goop and compressor' tire fix was inadequate. After a license Massachusetts on the Ohio Turnpike in my 2020 Stelvio when my tire was punctured. The "goop and compressor' tire fix was inadequate. After a licensed flat bed tow off the turnpike to an area that didn't have a replacement tire, I called the nearest dealer, well over 40 miles away. Fortunately AR of Strongsville had the correct tire in stock, and the staff was willing to expedite the replacement. My AR supplied tow delivered the Stelvio after (service) hours. The accommodating management was aware that my car was en route, and although the service bays were closed took my keys for the tire replacement the next morning. The great sales consultant Doug Freidman staff then assisted me in making a hotel reservation, getting an Uber account, and even provided an AR mask required for the Uber. Doug was someone who really knew the brand an was an Alfa enthusiast. The next morning the service advisor, Jim Obenauer, opened at 9am. I received a call at 9:10 that my Stelvio was ready. I am extremely grateful for my experience at AR of Strongsville. As far as I am concerned they earned the right to teach others dealers how to provide a stellar customer experience. More

I don’t think I have enough space for all of the things I want to say about Doug. I went in for a car & ended up getting not only a car but a friend for life! The purchasing process went well. However, my driver's license and insurance card were left on the copier and had to be sent to me. Also, one thing that was very upsetting, was the fact that no one explai license and insurance card were left on the copier and had to be sent to me. Also, one thing that was very upsetting, was the fact that no one explained to me that infant/child car seats can be a real problem to place in the Mercedes GLS 450 due to the headrests on the back seat. I had even mentioned the fact of having two grandchildren who spend time with us. It was close to closing time and the car features were explained to me in a rushed manner. The last statement was, "oh, by the way, the back headrests can be removed." We looked into this, and it seems almost impossible to do. The entire backseat would have to be torn apart to remove them. If this would have been explained to me, we would have never purchased this vehicle. More
