Finance Manager Nam Pham was also absolutely great. Definitely 5-star as well! They are the only reason I bothered to respond to this survey request. If it weren’t for Misters Guerrero and Pham I was deciding to go to Sterling McCall Lexus and had already contacted a salesman I knew there. Only at the last second as I was driving out of the parking lot did the jerk GM admit his judgement error and agree to the final offer I recommended. It was quite a fair deal for any other dealership in this region, especially since I accepted without negative comment a trade-in value that was a bit below market. We have been a Lexus family for more than 20 years, including at least two cars I previously purchased from Westside. The SUV I purchased this week makes us an exclusive Westside Lexus family, having bought both our current cars there. For two decades I have advocated Westside Lexus for friends and family near me. Never again. The jerk GM tried to prove his manhood by beating a loyal customer out of a few hundred dollars or so. It didn’t work but he almost completely destroyed the $58,000 buying experience at what had been my preferred Lexus dealer. I no longer agreed to the previous terms he refused and demanded that he further reduce the by price by a symbolic $500.00, just to be certain that he had to acknowledge my genuine displeasure. Additionally, I am removing from both cars the Westside advertisement/reminders such as license plate holder and keychain. They’ll go into the trash, along with any favorable referrals that may have developed in the future. Don’t look for me at Westside for any future purchase as long as you have a GM who values a few hundred dollars over a loyal 20-year customer. You really need to get this feedback to the owner, not just a sales manager or the GM. To borrow a phrase from messages the GM sent to us: “You just have to understand today’s market.” More
