Purchased a "CPO" 2022 Lexus which was listed as $44,992 online and as others below have stated, the Bill of Sale was for $53k+ to my surprise. Was able to get them to remove some of the "extras" they we online and as others below have stated, the Bill of Sale was for $53k+ to my surprise. Was able to get them to remove some of the "extras" they were charging for so I booked my flight down as I had a seven-hour drive back home from the dealership. Car was parked under the canopy, did a quick test drive, completed the paperwork and got on the road as it was going to a be a long, 18-hour day for me. Imagine my surprise the next day when I was hand waxing the vehicle at just the right angle and noticed the vehicle had been damaged previously and a lackluster attempt to correct it caught my eye. Orange Peel, solvent pop, dry spray and deep gouges in the quarter panel from sanding. When I called the dealership, they denied having any knowledge of previous damage and their "Eagle-eyed" technician must have just missed it during his 161-point inspection. Salesman went on to inform me that, "Every used vehicle has some level of bodywork done to it at some point." to which I stated that was NOT a true statement. As a 28-year executive for automotive OEM's I know a thing or two about the quality assurance requirements built into vehicles, but the dealership spoke to me like I had just dropped out of high school. I say all this in hopes someone else doesn't go into a Certified Pre-Owned purchase thinking it will be the cream of the crop or on par with outgoing quality of new vehicles leaving the TMMC facility in Cambridge, ONT as the CPO means nothing other than they can charge more and offer an extended warranty. After exhausting every option in voicing my frustration with the experience and speaking with management on site, did I decide to post a negative review. There was no offer to make anything right, no offer for any type of assistance to have the issues corrected, nothing but excuses. Lesson learned and last time doing any business with Lexus of Sarasota. More
