UPDATE: After speaking with you I wanted to recap what we are doing to correct your concerns of the smoke smell in the car. I asked you to take the vehicle to the Lexus Dealer in nearest to you, but the service director would not definitively say that he could smell smoke coming out of the vents. He said he could smell something upon start up, but wasn't sure if it was smoke. This is why I asked you if we could make the 800 mile journey to see if we could identify your issue at no expense to you. We picked up your vehicle and it was delivered safely to our dealership last night. So far, we have not discovered any smoke smell, but we did replace the cabin air filter and are working diligently to attempt to make you happy. I totally understand you are frustrated, but please know we are trying our very best. Thank you, Guy Alfieri

Thank you for the follow-up. Service director at Lexus. told me that there definitely was odor in the car. He told me that he can not get 100% of smoke/ odor out. People who are allergic to smoke, have reaction to it more so then people who are not allergic to smoke smell. My wife & daughter allergies started acting up. They are totally freaked out about this car. We bought this car based on high dealer rating from dealer rater. We would not have made this long distance purchase, if it were not for the ratings. I spent better part of the weekend resolving this issue. We talked to other detail shops in Germantown area & were told that it is impossible to get smoke smell out of car. I know smoke smell odor will always cause problems for my wife & daughter. It is a nice car, we liked everything else about the car a lot except for the smell. I am sorry but this car will not work for us. If you have similar SUV same color & mileage, we will make the 400-mile round trip drive to Hendersonville to see.

It was my understanding that we were returning this car to you. As we told you before, my wife & daughter are allergic to smoke. We were sold a car that was smoked in & we specifically asked about & were told that this car was not smoked in. We returned this car to you....& I was told my credit union to do so. We will take NOT delivery of this car because of health risks for wife & daughter & I can not take that chance. It is a nice car with good deal & you will not any problem selling it.

We will NOT take delivery of this vehicle. Orion has cancelled the loan. There is lemon law in TN that this falls under. We can not take risk as this concerns my wife & daughters' health.
