The Mazda company has overtaken Toyota as the most reliable car company, and the vehicle I purchased, the Mazda CX-5, is rated number one in reliability and safety and overall best compact SUV by Consumer Reports, so they did not really need to sell me on the product. Their price was significantly lower than the other Mazda dealership in Richmond. They also offered a trade-in offer above Kelly Blue Book for my previous vehicle so I was able to get into a brand new vehicle with a low monthly payment. I am looking forward to purchasing cars with them again in the future. I was a loyal Toyota driver, but I am so impressed with the amenities that come in the basic package of the Mazda that did not come with Toyota. The gas mileage on this vehicle is also outstanding. It was hassle-free, and I was in and out, driving my new car away in less than two hours' time. Highly recommend! More

The buying process was pleasant and low pressure. The upper management is top notch and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the customer is treated fairly. Rare positive experience purchasing a car. Kudos to Whitten Brothers! Now, there were other cars I was looking at that were priced a little lower, but Whitten Brothers was the best "deal" all things considered (quality of vehicle, warranty, customer service, management standing by their dealership, etc.). I will definitely consider them the next time I'm ready to purchase another vehicle. More

This is a great convenience for dropping off my car for service @ 7:30am, having a car to get to work by 8am, and then coming back in the afternoon once all the work has been done without having to ask a friend for 2 rides in a day. More

What is mostly the dreaded experience turned out to be shockingly easy and rewarding. Everyone there was pleasant and nice, as they should be. What really set them apart I felt was my sales associate. I am in sales and deal with sales people all the time. It was truly luck I found someone I could talk to. Can't speak for all the salespeople there, but if you want to deal with someone who is respectful and will go the extra mile for you talk to Graham. I don't write reviews but I always read them before purchases. Graham Redfern showed me every car,truck,suv I wanted to see for over 2 hours. May not seem like a big deal but it was freezing artic weather with ice everywhere. He didn't say come back another day or its getting cold. He asked what else would I like to see and answered my questions. If you go by Whitten Brothers I would definitely make an appointment to see Graham because I think this guy should busy all day. He defintly was with me and my OCD nature. I would highly recommend giving them a look at your next purchase. More

I found the Whitten internet site easy to use and unlike many dealers, they did not try to bait me in with some sort of ridiculous lowball number - a common marketing scheme where dealers will advertise a low price that includes every single possible discount - you only find out that you do not qualify for many of them until you have already invested time driving to the dealer, test driving, etc. Another point, they have real photos of the ACTUAL cars, not just stock pics. Also, they are responsive and quick to follow up on inquiries. Anyway, Whitten's price was fair, honest, and legitimate. The delivery process was smooth and hassle-free - they even took the time to bring the owner over from next door for a handshake and quick hello. This is the way car buying should be and I highly recommend. More
