Corwin will cut corners, and you will pay the cost. We purchased a vehicle under 5 years old with ~70,000 miles on it from Luke at Corwin, supervised by JC. Our finance person was JB. After being sent home without all the proper paperwork from JB (I had to follow up and have them create a new flash drive of the information we needed to insure, register, and pay the loan for the car) things were fine for a few weeks. Then, one of the tires stopped holding air. We took it to Corwin's shop directly and they said that the tires were in bad shape due to cracking on the sides that were leaking air. When we told them we had only purchased the vehicle from them about 5 weeks ago, they suggested we go speak to our salesperson, Luke. We were then told by Luke that people in the shop "don't get paid until they make sales," so they would always tell you you need new tires. (Remember -- these are the same people who performed the inspection 5 weeks earlier and cleared the tires for sale to us.) We then brought the vehicle to a different tire shop for a second opinion. They put on the car's spare tire. We were told that all four tires were bad, but the front two were in bad enough shape and would need to be replaced ASAP. We spoke to Luke again and he told us that "retail tires are a scam" and that we would be better off not purchasing tires from Corwin or any other professional tire sales location. He said he had looked on Facebook Marketplace on our behalf and found some good tires we could buy. On this call he apologized several times. When I asked if there was anything he could do to put action behind that apology, he said he would ask and get back to us. We did not hear back. I called again to follow up and Luke said that since the tires were "good enough to pass inspection" because they "just check tread depth" we are out of luck. As it was our first time purchasing a car, we trusted that Corwin was reputable and honest, and chose not to have a third party inspection performed on the car. I will never make this mistake again. Do not trust Corwin Toyota. I am very thankful that my husband didn't get in a wreck because of the bad tires. We will now have to go replace all four tires less than 6 weeks after purchasing this vehicle. We will also be getting a new inspection on the vehicle in case anything else was missed, purposefully overlooked, or outright false on the inspection we were provided during our purchase. More
