Brought car in and left it for brake issues (soft pedal) and none were found and was told @no issues”. Drove it and continued with same concern. Made an appointment online to bring it back and chose option and none were found and was told @no issues”. Drove it and continued with same concern. Made an appointment online to bring it back and chose option to @wait”. When I arrived was told they could not get to it that day, so I should come back. After expressing concern we went for a test drive that identified several possible issues. Again I was told that it could not be addressed that day, so I should bring it back. As I felt/knew it was unsafe to drive I stated I would not drive it, but would leave it. I did get a ride back home. However the diagnosis was contaminated brake fluid, sticking HCU valves, master cylinder…ending up with a $2902.05 repair. Good news was the replacement of the brake booster was performed at no charge as part of a recall. My question is why was the brake fluid not addressed in the the earlier brake work performed by the dealership, or looked at when I brought the car in a few weeks prior and was sent home “no trouble found”? More
