Jack did a fine job, just as he did on our previous purchase. However, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.. I ordered a Santa Cruz Ltd. It took 3 weeks to come in. When it did, the purchase. However, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.. I ordered a Santa Cruz Ltd. It took 3 weeks to come in. When it did, there were defects and I refused the vehicle. It took 3 more weeks to locate another one, and they did a good job retrieving it from New Jersey. However, when I came to pick this one up it was getting late (and the transaction took 3 1/2 hours - we didn't leave until 1030 pm). I took a short drive to check it out. I had been without a car for 8 weeks (old one was totaled in an accident) and was excited to get a new car. This one seemed ok until I got it on the road. The story goes that the only Santa Cruz's around close to the Ltd was a SEL Premium. It was much more responsive than the Ltd's even though they have the same engine and drive-train. The first one ended up with a bad transmission. Jack and a Manager drove both and agreed there was a difference. The second one felt the same. It was driven by me and by the Regional Technician who also felt the difference in the 2 models. He was going to do some research and get back to me. He never did. Nor did the manager who set up our meeting. This vehicle was doing about the same thing as the first, but they said, "no problem found". There is a problem somewhere in either the engine or the transmission. When moving from park on an uneven surface, the vehicle will drift several feet in the opposite direction you are going. The engine also did not have any "kick" to it like the SEL Premiums did (actually quite a bit of turbo lag and slow shifts). All the Managers at the dealership asked what they could do to make me happy. I told them I was unhappy with this vehicle, but they made no suggestions or gave me any options The Tech did give me a story about a buy-back that he was involved with and suggested that may be the situation here. So I decided that I would like to move up to Santa Fe (even though we already had one - same engine and trans as the Santa Cruz, but a real beast !) as my preference. To make a long story short, there was a lot of phone tag going on, but still no actual help, suggestions or options given. Lots of messages left but no real call backs with any information or updates. When I did actually get to talk to someone (I had talked to 5 Managers), it was like I had to tell the story all over again every time, and the attitude was like, "What do you want us to do?" I did get an email asking what I wanted on the Santa Fe and that it would have to be ordered, but nothing came of it. I suggested a few in the area that they could maybe trade with, but it looks like they did not even try. So, now that things have been dragged out, it looks like that buy back isn't in the cards. The manager Walt's only offer was they would give me market price as a used vehicle; anything else had to go directly through Hyundai. One other note, they never contacted me about my tags until the day they expired with a late email. Luckily, I was only 1 day with expired tags and didn't get caught. In conclusion, I would have to say they talk a good game, especially when you are ready to buy. And they did give me a good deal on the purchase. My issue is with the after sale care and support. Judge for yourself... I also want to add a "Kudos" for Jack Coco who is the only one that made a real effort and kept in touch with me. More

THANK YOU Jack Coco Sr and Hyundai Towson for hooking our family up with a brand new Kona SE AWD! Supply was low on the SE models but Jack was able to find us one from incoming inventory. We originally were family up with a brand new Kona SE AWD! Supply was low on the SE models but Jack was able to find us one from incoming inventory. We originally were shopping for a used car but with the low APR financing, cash back incentives, and excellent warranty, it paid to buy new. I feel that Hyundai Towson gave us a fair deal with no run around. The only negative is that it was very crowded in the dealership. It seemed like everyone in Maryland was there taking advantage of their great service. More
