Got charged 200 plus dollars for a diagnostic that could have told me my battery was low. Could have done that for free with triple A or auto zone. Their is a multi point vehicle inspection with very little have told me my battery was low. Could have done that for free with triple A or auto zone. Brought my GMC Terrain in to the dealership on a trailer due to a severe driveability issue that ended up being caused by a short circuit in a wiring harness. Technician was unable to diagnose the issue, an due to a severe driveability issue that ended up being caused by a short circuit in a wiring harness. Technician was unable to diagnose the issue, and even suggested checking and replacing expensive, unrelated parts. When realizing the technician assigned to my vehicle would be unable to solve the problem, I picked up my vehicle, again on a trailer. After finding and correcting the problem using another (non dealership) path, I discussed the issue with the manager there, and showed them the actual problem and solution. Using dealership diagnostic tools, my issue should have been easily discovered. Finding the exact location of the short is tougher, but the tech should have been able to easily determine that the problem was being caused by wiring. Even after this discussion with the manager, he refused to refund the money they charged me for "diagnosis". I had higher expectations of "certified experts". More
