Above average service. Brought my 2012 TL in for airbag recall service in Nov for a notice that I received in March. Apparently it took Acura 8 months to procure the parts Brought my 2012 TL in for airbag recall service in Nov for a notice that I received in March. Apparently it took Acura 8 months to procure the parts needed for the recall that explicitly states "could cause death" if not addressed. This is not and Acura Columbus problem, this is an Acura Corporate problem. After I was promptly & professionally greeted outside I was walked into the Service Dept where I was helped by Jami. She was very professional & pleasant to deal with. The only hiccup at drop-off was that she said that my car also had a software update recall that needed to be completed to correct transmission shutter. This had already been done in Sept so I guess my records had not been updated. Upon pickup I noticed that the tech report recommended transmission fluid flush service. I reminded Jami that this was already completed in Sept as part of the already mentioned transmission shutter recall. Again, my vehicle records must not have been updated or the tech making the recommendation could not see my vehicles history. All in all pretty good service but a little more could be done with record-keeping in order to uphold their service credibility. More

Transmission Problem - No Problem I recently took my 2-month old Acura MDX in for service after having a technician perform a "ride-along" with me to diagnose what I feel are some tran I recently took my 2-month old Acura MDX in for service after having a technician perform a "ride-along" with me to diagnose what I feel are some transmission issues. When accelerating from a stop the tachometer quickly jumps RPMs without giving the car much noticeable acceleration. It seems to do this when shifting from 1-2, 2-3 and sometimes 3-4. I am not a "lead foot" but things just didn't seem right. The technician that I rode with (possibly Eddy?) agreed that they should take a further look at it. I dropped my MDX off a few days later but unfortunately they didn't find any issue. Now I am worried that I have an expensive lease payment for the next 2.5+ years on a vehicle that I am not thrilled with (this is the ONLY issue I have with the vehicle - I LOVE everything else!). The rest of my service experience was excellent. When I returned the loaner vehicle the next day I had forgotten my garage door opener in it. I called and spoke with Jami who was able to track down the garage opener from the next customer who had the loaner vehicle and get it back to me the very next day. That was excellent service! More

Part snafu They had to order a part so I came back a few days later and after disassembling my car they noticed the part wasn't there. They sent me home in a bra They had to order a part so I came back a few days later and after disassembling my car they noticed the part wasn't there. They sent me home in a brand new car for a few days until my car was fixed and I brought theirs back. I feel they were up front about the mix-up and Jami handled it like a pro. Other than some of my time, I don't feel like I lost anything and as always they treat you like you are the most important person there. Acura Columbus continues to be my favorite car store. More
