In that order." and thought to myself, "now that's a great motto." So great, in fact, that I checked out their website, made an appointment to view a used vehicle, and made plans to drive from Moore, OK to Okarche, USA. I have no qualms about visiting Okarche since it happens to be the home of my favorite restaurant in the world, Eischen's, so regardless of whether we left with a car or not, the day was going to be great. The vehicle we had made an appointment to view was up front, gassed up, and already clean before we arrived about 15 min before they opened. Carter Chevrolet's dealership is anything but ordinary. The "showroom" is a low pressure environment that is filled with great historical pictures of Okarche, an overly friendly cat named Mouse, and the kind of people that you might meet at a backyard barbecue rather than the typical salesmen that swarm customers before they even exit their car. We were immediately greeted by the retail manager Jason Leck and shortly joined by our customer service representative Kolt Byerly. We test drove the car and I knew that it was a car that was under-promised and over-delivered on. This vehicle was better than we were expecting. When we returned, Kolt spoke to us about what we wanted to pay for the car, what we wanted for our trade and 5 minutes later we were done with the deal. Instead of making us sit around until they were ready to finalize the paper work, they sent us across the street for free fried chicken and when we returned with full stomachs, we finalized the deal and left. My review of Carter Chevrolet can be summarized with this observation. "Making friends and selling cars. In that order." is not just a motto. It's a mission statement. One that this dealership lives by every single day. Everyone from Kolt, our service rep, Jason, the retail manager (who happens to also know the same people we do!) to the big man Cody whom chatted with us like old friends, were indeed people I would call friend. People that I would open my home to. I will never shop for a vehicle anywhere else. Period. This dealership has earned my business, and the business of anyone that will listen to me!
