Great price and service. Suggested the plug-in Prius which came with all kinds of incentives and had all the features I needed. The other dealer I tried didn't even mention it. The process was straight forward. Jay was honest and friendly. I never felt pressured nor did I feel like he was trying to trick me or somehow convince me to do something I wasn't comfortable with. Jay accepted my price range and worked with me within that number. The financing was also easy, and often that's the worst part. This is the fourth car we've bought from this dealership and we will definitely be back for number five. More

When my wife and I went to the dealership, we were interested in the Prius V. My salesman, Jay Scholl, was knowledgeable enough to tell me that I would not be able to get the Clean Pass with this veh interested in the Prius V. My salesman, Jay Scholl, was knowledgeable enough to tell me that I would not be able to get the Clean Pass with this vehicle because it doesn't average 48 miles per gallon, the requirement from New York State. We wanted the ability to drive in the HOV Lane at any time, without having to have a passenger in the car. We then decided to look at the Priusc. My wife and I both felt comfortable in it. Jay and Chris Weitz worked with us on the trade value of our 2010 Prius III. We reached an agreement on the trade value along with the extended warranty. We also liked the fact that our basic services would be covered by the dealership for 25,000 miles or 2 years, whichever came first. This will save us nearly $200, or more. In addition, they gave us the winter mats and a bottle of the touch up paint at no additional charge. They went over the full car with us when we picked it up on Wednesday, August 29th. My wife took the car to work that night and texted me from work that "the car was great!!". We would recommend this dealership and our salesman to anyone looking for a Toyota product. Car shopping is one of my least favorite activities and anytime I have to shop for a new car, I dread it like the plague. I decided I wanted to buy a Toyota Prius because of the great fuel economy and bec anytime I have to shop for a new car, I dread it like the plague. I decided I wanted to buy a Toyota Prius because of the great fuel economy and because it is one of the few vehicles that is allowed on the LIE-HOV lane with only the driver. My husband and I walked into Toyota of Riverhead, and were greeted by Jay Scholl. Jay told us all about the car, answered all our questions, and immediately allowed us to take a test drive. We did not have an appointment and it was a very busy weekend in the showroom. The test drive convinced me that I wanted a Prius. We then sat down with Jay and discussed pricing. We were given a great price for the car. It took about an hour from the time we walked into the showroom, to completion of the sale! In all my years of buying cars, I have never had such a wonderful and easy experience. Jay was pleasant, charming, and not the typical pushy, high pressure salesman. Three days later I drove my car out of the showroom. However, before I left, Jay pointed out all the features and strongly encouraged me to stop by the dealership if I had any questions. It is great to know that I have a truly customer oriented car dealership close to my home. Thank you Jay! More

This is our first new car, and Jay made the experience an absolute joy. He took the time to explain to us all of the pros and cons of the models we were considering in light of our needs. Purchasing a new vehicle can be a stressful and sometimes aggravating experience. We are all familiar with the stereotypical car salesman, pushy, manipulative and a tad less than truthful. However - this has never been my experience at Riverhead Toyota. Over the past 2-3 years I have purchased 4 vehicles from them and on each occasion I have been treated with respect, courtesy and a level of expertise that I feel is rare in the industry. In particular I would like to thank Jay - the sales consultant that takes care of my business. Jay could be the figure head for this outfit as he embodies all the fine attributes I have pointed out above. Here's why the overall score has more 4's than 5's. 1. Took longer than expected to get the car. 2. Appraisal on trade-in dropped $500 once I showed that I was ready to buy. That bothered me, and I almost called off the sale at that point. 3. The most important question for any buyer remains "lease vs. buy" -- and the dealership still fails to provide good and clear pros and cons for both options. It's always a quick and/or pushy remark, like "hey, keep your money!" or "did you talk to your accountant?" -- and that's BS. There are real, universal pros and cons to both options and the dealer needs to develop a script -- or have a team member devoted to -- helping to educate the consumer so they may make an informed decision with CONFIDENCE.
