I bought a truck here and wouldn't recommend Bill Kay Honda to anyone. We waited 3 hours for the financing and then Ed Hanahan decided to put gap insurance on the lien. I didn't ask for it the lien holde Honda to anyone. We waited 3 hours for the financing and then Ed Hanahan decided to put gap insurance on the lien. I didn't ask for it the lien holder didn't require it he just thought I'll add 1200 dollars to this note. So he says it's been canceled but I can't find proof of that. The manager Jeff Linder was suppose to call me and talk to me about it but guess what he's never called. We've bought about 20 cars in the last 22 years and this was the worst dealership experience we've ever had very unethical and dishonest. Disappointment and disgust doesn't even come close to our experience. More

DO NOT buy a car from here! We were looking for a car for our daughter and explained to the sales person that the car must not have been used by a smoker! We explained to him that we test drove a car from another dealership where the car smelt like smoke. Bill Kay cleaned the car so there was a weird fruity smell in it so we assumed it was just the cleaner they used. After a week the cleaner smell went away and the car smelt horribly like smoke! We have tried everything to get the smell out. When it sits in the heat is smells worse. We called the sales person to ask if they can detail it and replace the filters and was told they wouldn't. So we paid out of pocket to have it detailed and all filters replaced. It still hasn't fixed the problem! Dealerships should be required to disclose if a the previous owner was a smoker. Now my daughter gets headaches when she's driving her car! DO NOT trust these people. The sales person also said he would pay for half of the detailing cost and we are still waiting on that payment. More

Bill Kay Honda had a great inventory and I found the Covic that I wanted and even though it was Saturday and they were very busy, Bert Tvrz, my favorite Honda salesperson, had me test driving it within ten minutes. After that, I was sure it was my dream car and the whole process went so smoothly. Bert as well as the Bill Kay Honda team does not treat you like just another number but more like someone that they wish to assist in making their vehicle dreams come true. If you go to Bert for your vehicle, he does not pressure you but instead shares his extensive knowledge and energy for the product he sells. This is the sixth car I have bought from Bert and I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else. The whole process from beginning to end is enjoyable as it should be! I also want to say from getting my cars serviced over the years, they are very professional , honest and never make me feel stupid. I have always been treated very well by the whole Bill Kay Honda staff. More

Fantastic people make up a exceptional dealership I couldn't be more happy with my choice of Honda dealership! From the minute we stepped onto the premises to the time we rolled out in our new Pilot i I couldn't be more happy with my choice of Honda dealership! From the minute we stepped onto the premises to the time we rolled out in our new Pilot it felt like we were dealing with family. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating that I would recommend this dealership to everyone. Ed Hanahan was so nice and knowledgeable about the vehicles he answered all our questions right off the top of his head. We even dealt with the general manager Jeff Lindner who treated us like family too. We will definitely be coming back for our next vehicle and you should too!! More

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE! Took the 2 hour drive to BILL KAY HONDA. Upon our arrival, around 12:30 pm, we asked to test drive a 2012 Acura, which is the specific car we took th Took the 2 hour drive to BILL KAY HONDA. Upon our arrival, around 12:30 pm, we asked to test drive a 2012 Acura, which is the specific car we took the 2 hour drive to see. When the salesman tried to start the car, IT DID NOT START!, he tried to jump start the car to no avail. After another 30 minutes of time wasted, he said they would put a new battery in the car and told us to come back in about an hour as they did not have the correct battery in stock and needed to have one delivered. My husband and I did what he requested and returned. The car was running and we took it for a test drive, less than one mile into our test drive a 2 feet piece of window trim came detached from its fitting. My husband had to roll down the window and literally hold onto it. The salesman told us we should go back so we didn't lose the piece. We did. When we returned, I assumed that they would fix the piece so we could take a proper test drive but after 30 minutes had passed, no one had come out to assess the problem and the salesman had disappeared. He finally appeared and asked if we wanted to come inside. What for? I thought, I drove 2 hours to get here, and had now been at bill Kay Honda for a total of Three hours and I've only driven the car for 5 minutes??!!! I told him I wanted to DRIVE THE CAR, WITHOUT IT FALLING APART. we took it for another test drive. Upon returning to the dealership, we went inside it was now 4:00pm, I told him my experience had been less than satisfactory and that we would need to discuss the price after all the things that had went wrong. Negotiations were definitely in order. He gave me the usual BS of this car was priced to reflect the issues, I mentioned, however, I am sure the trim piece flying off WAS NOT!!... He went off to the mgr and came back to tell me what they were asking was the best they could do. At this point, I was DONE! THEY EXPECTED ME TO PAY THEIR ASKING PRICE AFTER THE CAR DID NOT START, A TRIM PIECE BROKE OFF AND I HAD WASTED 4 HOURS OF MY TIME WAITING FOR THEM TO GET THEIR CRAP TOGETHER!!! ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!! I GOT UP WALKED OUT, AND TOOK THE CASHIERS CHECK I HAD WITH ME TO PURCHASE THE CAR OUTRIGHT!!! WHAT A MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU BILL KAY HONDA!!!! BUYER BEWARE! More

I purchased a 2011 Honda Civic with 32k miles, which was still under manufactures warranty, Also in addition, this was a "certified honda " at time of purchase. Now, on the very same day of purchase , I not still under manufactures warranty, Also in addition, this was a "certified honda " at time of purchase. Now, on the very same day of purchase , I noticed a clicking noise under the steering column, only to hear it go away after a few minutes, If it weren't for the severe weather conditions, I would of turned back around to inform the dealer, but living 85 miles away my concern was to get home safely. 5 days later the noise had been more continuous, therefore me taking it into Honda of Champaign, Only to be advised by the service department that there had been a auto/start and or alarm device installed at one time, but never properly disconnected from the wiring harness, thus causing the clicking noise. Unfortunately this was not covered and there would be a charge to properly disconnect the wires, I immediately contacted Bill Kay to inform them of situation and that I had already been charged 49.99 for 1/2 hr labor/diagnostic. I asked in good faith for reimbursement and a solution to the problem, only to hear that I would need to have them remove it and there would be no reimbursement. After working my way up management, I eventually spoke with Jeff Lindner( General Manager). Not only was he unapologetic about this but his demeanor was appalling to say the least. he told me that " he was doing me a favor " by fixing it and "that he had every right not to touch my car now or in future"(9 days after purchase keep in mind). I had no choice except to take it back to correct issue. NOW IT GETS WORSE.. I made my appointment for a Friday, only to receive a call Thursday before by the service department to inform me the would still correct the issue, BUT there will be a CHARGE. I asked why would there now be a charge, "per Jeff Lindner, due to the bad feedback they received from you on cars.com, he is revoking his right to fix it for free". AND that If I still wish to have it fixed it would be a "CASH ONLY" transaction. REALLY?????. After speaking with Honda Corp, I was able to take car back to Honda of Chamapign and correct issue at no charge. I should've known better.. when they sold me the car, the gas light was on reading "EMPTY" .. More

I worked with Donny McGee over the phone and he made the entire process simple and to the point. I was able to get the exact Honda I wanted in a very fast timeframe and even got it delivered to a Honda deal entire process simple and to the point.
