I have been coming to This dealership for many years for service to my car. I have dealt almost exclusively with Jeff. I trust he will give me an honest and fair recommendation for service. They forced my girlfriend to change her battery when it’s not an old battery! They told her that the car will fail if she didn’t get it but I recently changed the battery myself. not an old battery! I bought my Kia Soul from Luther Kia in 2015. It was just the beginning of 4 years of sketchy dealings w/ the dealer. My recurring impression was that they were primarily interested in maximizing profit and the beginning of 4 years of sketchy dealings w/ the dealer. My recurring impression was that they were primarily interested in maximizing profit and the customer came second. It began w/ the purchase. After agreeing on purchase price, they pressured me to buy a raft-load of extra extended warranty, anti-rust, body protection, etc. plans that would have added 25% to the final price. The salesperson conveyed great annoyance that I wasn’t buying into their low-value, high-cost add-ons. Then came the overpriced oil changes. They wanted me to pay for an additional $175 service to clean out the fuel injectors every 15K miles making a Kia oil change about 6X more expensive than other cars! Not necessary according to other auto shops. Maybe every 60K. Finally the final straw happened when I tried to get 2 electrical window switches fixed. I also wanted some body work done. I called up to make an appointment. The customer service couldn’t tell whether they do body work (they don’t), offered me a free rental and scheduled the service after delivering a quote. I arrived, “Umm we don’t actually provide free rental.” Extra payment. Picked up the car. Only one of the window switches worked. They wanted to charge extra to fix the second switch that was included in the quote but they didn’t fix. “Nope. I wouldn’t have gotten the work done if your $400 price was just for 1 lousy switch!” It was only when threatened to go to BBB that they reneged. When they reassembled the other door switch they left the insulation sticking out around the edges. 2 trips. Lots of misinformation, shoddy workmanship, loads of unnecessary drama. Not going back. Ever. Final advice: Buy your car here if you find one you love at a good price and then run and don’t come back! More

Horrible! 2012 Kia Forte engine knocking at 55K miles, this dealer says the issue is not covered under recall? I was "URGED" to have fixed by them as a safety issue, but they won't cover the cost because this dealer says the issue is not covered under recall? I was "URGED" to have fixed by them as a safety issue, but they won't cover the cost because the warranty expired. Really??! The car has 55K miles...what kind of engine has safety issues at 55K miles and the dealer won't fix it? When I bought the car from them in 2012, I was told the warranty was 10 years/100,000 miles, but this dealer lost the records of my purchase, really???! They say the warranty expired at five years. Round and round and round we go. I regret purchasing a car from them, I do not recommend going to Luther Kia in Bloomington at all. Don't buy a car there, and don't fix your car there. More

Tried to get some satisfaction on an engine issue with my 2011 Kia Soul, but got stonewalled because I had had work done at an aftermarket repair shop using aftermarket parts, which apparently are substandar 2011 Kia Soul, but got stonewalled because I had had work done at an aftermarket repair shop using aftermarket parts, which apparently are substandard quality. So, the stories you hear about Kia stepping up and helping customers aren’t necessarily true. Never had a problem with the sales end of the dealership, but service?............ More
