But it turns out everyone I dealt with at Colonial was fantastic! Angie is affable, genuine and knowledgeable. Everyone else - from the business manager to the guy that gets your car ready for pick-up - puts you at ease. I was never lead to a dark, windowless, smoke-filled room like at other dealerships. Everything was bright and open. I'm eligible for a new lease in 2.5 years and baring any unforeseen events, I'll be coming back to Colonial! More

Very good to work with to resolve lease dispute I leased my first Subaru; a 2017 Impreza Limited Hatchback. This was the second Subaru for my family. I appreciate the time and effort that person I leased my first Subaru; a 2017 Impreza Limited Hatchback. This was the second Subaru for my family. I appreciate the time and effort that personnel took from end of June until this past Staturday to ensure I had a new 2017 lease to drive with a excellent payment. The car is great and meets all the needs of my family. April, my salesperson was wonderful, most informative as well as accessible to all my questions. I appreciate the effort put in by all to ensure I had the right mileage, car style and treated as a loyal customer. I highly recommend this team for anyone in search of a Subaru. More

Have never had a Subaru before but Dan Holuba our salesman showed us everything we wanted to know. We test drove a couple of cars and the car sold itself.. Dan spent about 2 hrs with us and answered all questions and showed a lot of knowledge and he seemed really interested that we would be happy. We met George who I think manages the place and he was friendly and helpful.. it was a very soft self with absolutely no pushing us at all. I think it was the best experience of car buying we have had.,.... More

When I decided against extra options I first agreed to, they made all necessary changes including loan agreement several days later. However, I have been eyeing a Subaru as a future replacement option. After receiving several inquiries from Pontiac dealerships about buying my car, I decided I would look into Subaru options. I had the extreme fortune to be contacted by April Zanotti from Colonial Subaru. I first dismissed the email (didn't want car payments!); however, I read and reread her email several times and it was just so down to earth and low sales pressure that I decided to call her. We talked extensively over the phone about my current vehicle value, what my numbers were, etc. and she offered to check into everything so I didn't waste my time driving up (I live about an hour away away) for something they couldn't work with. She got back to me within the hour, apologized for the delay (!!!) and confirmed that she was pretty sure they could work with what I needed. I met her the next day and she was as down to earth, low pressure, and professional as she had been on the phone. No lies, no gimmicks, no pressure. I felt like I was just talking to real person, rather than someone with an agenda who would do whatever it took to meet it. I had already decided that I'd buy the car providing we could meet the numbers we had talked about. We did, without any haggling, sales pressure, or upselling. I have never met a car salesperson with whom I have felt so comfortable. She was honest, direct, and respectful; quite honestly, she didn't seem like a car salesperson at all, which is a compliment coming from me. I HATE to be upsold or, more often, patronized when buying a car. I was ready to walk out that day with the car; unfortunately, there were some DMV issues that prevented it. I worked with Jim Meerhan, business manager, who could not have been more apologetic that he couldn't clear the registration transfer and get me out the door that day. None of the delay was their fault; it was mine for owning $5.00 in interest in past vehicle property tax interest. I cleared the tax issues on Monday and arranged to pick-up the car on Wednesday. April went out of her way to give me her contact information in case I needed anything on Tuesday (her day off). On Wednesday the DMV still hadn't cleared the transfer. April made a point of calling me first thing in the morning to let me know and checked back in later in the afternoon because it still hadn't cleared. Again, neither she nor Jim could apologize enough, although it had nothing to do with them. When I fortunately got it cleared on Wednesday and made the pick-up, it was another fantastic experience. I was badly burned years ago (when car sales were much less professional and much more deceitful), so until I actually signed the papers, I was still a bit distrusting. April was as an exceptional as prior to sale. She spent an extensive amount of time reviewing the car features with me (I know it's part of the job, but it was a much more "human" experience than I've ever had before). Everything Jim and I had talked over on Saturday was exactly the same; no surprise fees, no up selling (reviewing the extended warranty options doesn't count as upselling - there was absolutely NO pressure to buy), and super efficient paperwork review and signing. Plus both April and Jim have a real sense of humor -- something that I really appreciate, since I'm rather quirky, especially with my sense of humor and directness. I have never worked with a car dealership whose staff actually listened to me, understood that for me "no" means "no and don't ask again" and respected that, and who were so responsive and professional. I worked in sales / customer service for many years and and understand all different types of sales approaches, tactics, and falsehoods (that is not to say all salespeople are dishonest, but there are different styles). Although I didn't meet any of the other salespeople at Colonial, I truly believe that if I hadn't worked with April, I may not have purchased the car since I was so torn about taking on a car payment. And Jeff just supported my decision to buy; I was suspicious that there may be discrepancies between what April and I worked out and what the final outcome would be. No difference! Amazing...that's never happened to me before. My husband, who is easy going but who also works in customer service, was extremely impressed. I am far more difficult to work with than he is and I was blown away. There is doing a job, doing it well, and doing it above and beyond. Both April and Jeff were above and beyond. It's clear that they both truly believe in the cars they sell, the quality of Subaru, and the Subaru company itself. In addition, April couldn't say enough sincerely good things about her time working at Colonial Subaru and the company culture. That speaks volumes. Maybe I was just lucky, but I wouldn't hesitate to either recommend or purchase again (hopefully not soon!) from April and Colonial. I'm unfortunately old enough to accept that the car buying experience is usually painful, but I'm not too old to realize when it's completely different. April, Jeff...thank you SO much! It's really questionable if I would have decided to purchase with another dealership. I received several emails from other dealerships in the area once I started researching the 2017 Impreza and none of the emails / voicemail did anything to make me want to come in. Too high pressure and too impersonal. I'm sure the car will be wonderful -- I've never had any complaints about the cars I've purchased in the past, but rather with the process. This was far above and beyond anything I've ever experienced in previous purchases. And if this review sounds too good to be true, SO sorry. It really was almost too good of an experience to believe....I kept expecting something to change from start to finish. It didn't. How amazing! April made it happen; Jeff reassured me I could both trust her (which I did) AND trust the dealership. Although there are more convenient Subaru dealerships in my area, I dealt with one a few years ago, before I purchased my previous car, and the salesperson I worked with was so rude and patronizing I swore I would never go back. And at that time, I ended up purchased a car the same day, but not a Subaru, from a different dealership. That Subaru dealer would have had a sale, since I really wanted a Subaru, if not for his attitude. Here, I didn't absolutely need to buy a car and they got a purchase anyway. I'm quite frugal. That says a lot about the quality of the customer service of the Colonial staff I worked with. Clearly, I cannot say enough positive things about the purchasing experience. I sincerely recommend if you are considering a Subaru, give Colonial a try (especially April, but everyone relates to people in different ways). More

Another wonderful car buying experience! This is the 4th Subaru that I have purchased from Colonial. My family has purchased at least another 15 from them. Obviously we are a Subaru family! This is the 4th Subaru that I have purchased from Colonial. My family has purchased at least another 15 from them. Obviously we are a Subaru family! There is another Subaru dealership within 10 miles but we never even consider going there. The General Manager George Samaha runs a friendly, efficient, and thoroughly well run dealership. His oversight of all the aspects of the sales and maintenance of your Subaru gives a sense of confidence for the owner. John Lazzari, my salesman, was just the best. He explained all of the options, pros and cons of the different models and showed the depth of his knowledge about the cars he sells. No hard pressure sales here. You are given information and you decide what's best for you. That's how I like to buy a car!! I took advantage of the 0% financing and Jim Meehan was friendly and thorough going through the paperwork. Very simple and fast. Thank you Colonial Subaru for , again, making the process so easy. See you when the time is right for the next car! More

Direct, to the point, efficient and professional I am not a "car person" at all. I love the reliability, pricing of the Outbacks as well as being able to lower the back seats for hauling stuff. So I am not a "car person" at all. I love the reliability, pricing of the Outbacks as well as being able to lower the back seats for hauling stuff. So I knew I wanted another Outback and did not need or want a "sales pitch". Joe got that right away. The walk through of the vehicle with Nate was invaluable. No way I am going to remember it all but I feel confident I really can call him to get input on a topic. He did not yet have business cards but he made a point of writing down how I can reach him. It was fast, efficient and not stressful. Each very important to me. More
