I searched new car dealers in 5 states looking for a new vehicle that would fit an inside mobility scooter lift. Only a few models would work with my scooter and most of them required the purchase of a 204 vehicle that would fit an inside mobility scooter lift. Only a few models would work with my scooter and most of them required the purchase of a 204" long mini van or huge SUV which would not fit in my garage, and a mini commercial van which had a 9 month waiting line and a huge above MSRP price. Then I learned by removing the scooter seat, it would fit in a Subaru Forester. Due to the shortage of microchips and new vehicles, I started searching for this Forester. Most of these foresters were either Limited, Touring or Wilderness models, which were all beyond my budget. I came across a Forester Premium with only a few options and comfortably fit in my budget. Chatham Parkway Subaru and other Subaru dealerships were the dealers that did not charge an extra $5,000 to $10,000 dollars for increased demand created by the new vehicle shortage. I purchased the Forester sight unseen, and had to wait a few weeks for the ship to arrive in Brunswick. I live in the Atlanta area and had to travel to Savannah trade my car and take delivery of the new Forester. I feared I would travel five hours to only learn the dealer would not want to honor their agreement. Much to my surprise Chatham Parkway Subaru honored their agreement and completed the transaction in very short time. Everyone and everything at Chatham Parkway Subaru exceeded my expectations and were extremely helpful. I left very satisfied with my purchase and the people of Chatham Parkway Subaru. Before the shortage of vehicles became a reality, and before I realized I need a vehicle capable of transporting an assembled scooter in a secured interior space, I wanted a Forester due to the ease of getting in a comfortable vehicle, fitting the vehicle in a small garage, and my friends being totally happy with their Subaru vehicles. My personality is not one of everything being great. and always just perfect. In reality I am just another curmudgeon who is rarely satisfied with anything. It is totally unlike me to give such a raving review. Chatham Park Subaru is very deserving of any and all complements. Thank you to everyone at Chatham Parkway Subaru! More
