I highly recommend Wantagh Mazda if you are looking to buy a vehicle and have an outstanding experience. Joseph Bonavita was my sales rep, and I can not think of a single way he could have made my buying buy a vehicle and have an outstanding experience. Joseph Bonavita was my sales rep, and I can not think of a single way he could have made my buying experience better. He was low key, zero pressure, friendly, professional, and above all HONEST! He delivered on every single promise, and perhaps the best part was that from start to finish the process was super quick and almost effortless. If you don't go to this dealership and you live on Long Island, either it's because you don't know any better (after this review this excuse won't hold water) or you just like to deal with problems with other dealerships. Great job Joe and Wantagh Mazda, and thank you so much for everything, including picking me up from my house and driving me to get the car, since I had no other way to get there. What else can you ask from the person you buy a car from? More

Possibly the best overall car-buying experience I've ever had in almost 50 years. I came in to look at the new Mazda 6 and was directed to Joe Bonavita. Joe carefully described the features of the c ever had in almost 50 years. I came in to look at the new Mazda 6 and was directed to Joe Bonavita. Joe carefully described the features of the car. I let him know what his competition was and he made a friendly, low-key pitch for the virtues of the Mazda over the other cars that I was considering. When I asked for a test drive, he took a copy of my license, put a dealer's plate on a car, handed me the keys and (my first surprise) told me to go out and have a pleasant drive. (The only other dealership where I've seen this done was an Acura dealer.) When I returned, we chatted some more and he said that he hoped to see me again to do business. I asked him if--should I decide to pull the trigger on the Mazda--he'd be able to get the color and exact equipment that I wanted. He assured me that, if the car that I wanted existed anywhere in the tri-state area, he could have it for me within a day or two at most. After doing my comparison shopping and my pricing research, I decided on the Mazda and called Joe back. We did some bargaining over the phone and quickly settled on a very reasonable price. All of the paperwork was done by email and fax. I never had to return until delivery day, which was only a few days later. The delivery process, once again, exceeded my expectations. At the conclusion of every recent car purchase in which I've been involved, there comes a point when the salesperson sends you in to see "the closer." This guy's job is to sell you last-minute, high profit add-ons which you don't want and which you don't need: extended warranties, extra insurance, fabric protection, lifetime nitrogen inflation for your tires, etc., etc. etc. I've been through the drill enough times and I'm resistant enough to the sales pitch, that I've become inured to the process--but that still doesn't make it pleasant. Well, at Wantagh Mazda, there's no "closer." Joe went over the paperwork with me. The numbers were exactly as expected, to the penny; and that was that. We then went out to the car and Joe spent about half an hour with me carefully going over the various controls and functions. So, as I said at the top, this was an absolutely terrific experience from beginning to end. Joe was a pleasure to work with. And it's obvious that the Wantagh management has decided that this is the way they want to conduct business. Good for them! I will happily recommend Wantagh Mazda to friends and family. More

We were looking at several cars, the Mazda 3, Honda Civc, and Hyundai Elantra. We visited 2 separate dealerships for each model, and test drove each car at each dealership, (6 test drives). When we went to Wantagh Mazda we met David, who showed us the car, then gave us the keys for a test drive, after the test drive he answered all of our questions, and we told him we wanted to look at other cars. David was ok with this and did not pressure us to purchase. We then went to Honda City, Atlantic Hyundai, Advantage Hyundai, Millennium Honda, and Garden City Mazda. (We also did test drive the VW Jetta, and Toyota Corolla, but didn't like either car). After meeting 8 different salespeople, and 8 dealerships, we went back to Wantagh Mazda. It was David's day off, so we spoke to Joe S, the sales manager, we told him our story, and that we had spoken with David already, and that we were ready to buy. There was no xx, he gave us a price, I told him my best price, and we made a deal that I was happy with. He then handed us over to Joe B who wrote up the sales agreement. David called us later to thank us, and was there when we picked up the car to show us about it and do the paperwork. I am 55 yeas old and this was the first new car experience for my daughter, she drove every car, twice, and I assisted her with the sale. I have bought many new cars, but never this easy, with no pressure whatsoever from Wantagh Mazda. I cannot comment on service, yet, but would recommend for new car purchase. More

Mr. Bonavita was very helpful, coming in on his day off because it was more convenient for me. He was not pushy at all, but friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and he even synched the Bluetooth for my p because it was more convenient for me. He answered all my questions, was instrumental in getting the loan pushed through in a surprisingly short time, and ultimately was able to "put me in the driver's seat" of the exact car (by VIN) I had requested, on the same afternoon I came in. I got an excellent financing deal, a good price on a fabulous car, and even a decent trade-in value for my old car. Mr. Bonavita was also able to handle the entire transaction personally, as opposed to sending me around to five different managers, finance agents and title specialists. He did it all seamlessly, and with enthusiasm and efficiency. I would highly recommend visiting him if you'd like to check out a new Mazda -- which, by the way, is an excellent vehicle. More

This is our 2nd Mazda purchase from Wantagh Mazda. The reason we came back is because of the experience we had the first time. They took very good care of us then and we knew we would be taken care of thi reason we came back is because of the experience we had the first time. When we were finally able to get to the showroom Joe was busy with another customer and instead of keeping us waiting Ken took over and was a tremendous help. He took very good care of us.
