I can say without equivocation, this was the *BEST* auto purchase transaction I have ever experienced! The salesperson (Joe Bonavita) actually *listened* when I explained what I wanted, and then proceeded to help bring it about. Everything about the entire transaction was straightforward, transparent, and *pleasant*. I never felt that I was being held "hostage" as so many other car sales outfits do. I got *exactly* what I wanted, at a fair price. I also give credit to Wantagh Mazda for their policy of having a single salesperson handle the entire transaction from start to finish. I am absolutely delighted!! More

As first time homebuyers, we approached Wantagh Mazda with a very limited budget, tight deadlines and a desire to make a deal by not having to visit the showroom. To be completely honest I am still in awe at how easy Joseph and his team made everything happen for us. He was extremely prompt, courteous and thorough in every email and telephone call. We got no haggle pricing and received the vehicle ahead of schedule. I can wholeheartedly recommend Wantagh Mazda to anyone looking to make a purchase. The entire process from start to finish went smooth and unlike experiences I've had in other dealers, I was not whisked from room to room to discuss financing, add-on's, warranties, etc. Joe was straight forward and took care of everything himself at his desk providing a professional, hassle-free experience. Both prior to and after purchasing my car, Joe was very responsive and understanding to my needs. I've recommended Wantagh Mazda to all my friends and family and highly recommend dealing with Joe in particular. More

They don't play games and waste your time, they just give you their most fair bottom price. Joe Bonavita was outstanding and went above & beyond to get me a brand new 2013 CX-9 that I really wanted that was already in the lot (just delivered with all the protective plastic film still on the doors and wheels). It was already promised for another dealership but he put in the effort to get me the car anyway. He was very knowledgeable about the car and explained the bill clearly line by line. I would definitely recommend Wantagh Mazda to anyone who is thinking about purchasing a Mazda. This purchase was absolutely stress free. More

I highly recommend Wantagh Mazda if you are looking to buy a vehicle and have an outstanding experience. Joseph Bonavita was my sales rep, and I can not think of a single way he could have made my buying buy a vehicle and have an outstanding experience. Joseph Bonavita was my sales rep, and I can not think of a single way he could have made my buying experience better. He was low key, zero pressure, friendly, professional, and above all HONEST! He delivered on every single promise, and perhaps the best part was that from start to finish the process was super quick and almost effortless. If you don't go to this dealership and you live on Long Island, either it's because you don't know any better (after this review this excuse won't hold water) or you just like to deal with problems with other dealerships. Great job Joe and Wantagh Mazda, and thank you so much for everything, including picking me up from my house and driving me to get the car, since I had no other way to get there. What else can you ask from the person you buy a car from? More

Possibly the best overall car-buying experience I've ever had in almost 50 years. I came in to look at the new Mazda 6 and was directed to Joe Bonavita. Joe carefully described the features of the c ever had in almost 50 years. I came in to look at the new Mazda 6 and was directed to Joe Bonavita. Joe carefully described the features of the car. I let him know what his competition was and he made a friendly, low-key pitch for the virtues of the Mazda over the other cars that I was considering. When I asked for a test drive, he took a copy of my license, put a dealer's plate on a car, handed me the keys and (my first surprise) told me to go out and have a pleasant drive. (The only other dealership where I've seen this done was an Acura dealer.) When I returned, we chatted some more and he said that he hoped to see me again to do business. I asked him if--should I decide to pull the trigger on the Mazda--he'd be able to get the color and exact equipment that I wanted. He assured me that, if the car that I wanted existed anywhere in the tri-state area, he could have it for me within a day or two at most. After doing my comparison shopping and my pricing research, I decided on the Mazda and called Joe back. We did some bargaining over the phone and quickly settled on a very reasonable price. All of the paperwork was done by email and fax. I never had to return until delivery day, which was only a few days later. The delivery process, once again, exceeded my expectations. At the conclusion of every recent car purchase in which I've been involved, there comes a point when the salesperson sends you in to see "the closer." This guy's job is to sell you last-minute, high profit add-ons which you don't want and which you don't need: extended warranties, extra insurance, fabric protection, lifetime nitrogen inflation for your tires, etc., etc. etc. I've been through the drill enough times and I'm resistant enough to the sales pitch, that I've become inured to the process--but that still doesn't make it pleasant. Well, at Wantagh Mazda, there's no "closer." Joe went over the paperwork with me. The numbers were exactly as expected, to the penny; and that was that. We then went out to the car and Joe spent about half an hour with me carefully going over the various controls and functions. So, as I said at the top, this was an absolutely terrific experience from beginning to end. Joe was a pleasure to work with. And it's obvious that the Wantagh management has decided that this is the way they want to conduct business. Good for them! I will happily recommend Wantagh Mazda to friends and family. More
